Musumeci<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00abWarum ist es so schwer zuzugeben, dass Macht attraktiv ist?\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Christian ist der Sch\u00f6nling in den F\u00fcnfzigern. Reich, schick, verehrt, hochrangig und wunderbar bobo. Sein Job passt gut zu ihm, denn er ist Kurator des Museums f\u00fcr zeitgen\u00f6ssische Kunst in Stockholm. Er und sein ebenso trendiges und wohlmeinendes Team bereiten sich darauf vor, das soziale Werk einer argentinischen K\u00fcnstlerin zu begr\u00fc\u00dfen: \u00abThe Square\u00bb. Der Raum ist eigentlich nur ein Quadrat, das von einer Lichterkette begrenzt wird, auf der steht, dass es \u00abein Heiligtum ist, in dem Vertrauen und Altruismus herrschen. Alle sind gleich an Rechten und Pflichten\u00bb.\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Es ist eine Ironie des Schicksals, dass die Vorbereitung der Ausstellung mit einem Raub\u00fcberfall auf Christian zusammenf\u00e4llt. In einer Inszenierung, in der eine Frau um Hilfe schreit, w\u00e4hrend ein Mann sie t\u00f6ten will, h\u00e4lt sich der Kurator f\u00fcr einen Helden und besch\u00fctzt sie nach einem \u00e4ngstlichen Z\u00f6gern stolz. Wenige Augenblicke sp\u00e4ter wird ihm bewusst, in welche groteske Falle er getreten ist. Handy, Brieftasche und Manschettenkn\u00f6pfe sind verschwunden. Wie konsequent muss er nun sein Leben gestalten zwischen seinem selbstlosen Quadrat und dem gewaltt\u00e4tigen Drohbrief an die Mieter eines Vorstadtgeb\u00e4udes, in dem sein Telefon von Apple Assistance geortet wird?<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Ein Film <em>r\u00e9ac&#8217;<\/em><\/h3>\n<p>La Palme d\u2019or a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9cern\u00e9e au Su\u00e9dois Ruben \u00d6stlund sous les contestations. Pedro Almod\u00f3var, pr\u00e9sident du jury, a m\u00eame d\u00e9clar\u00e9\u00a0que \u00ab\u00a0c\u2019est un film extr\u00eamement dr\u00f4le contre la dictature du politiquement correct.\u00a0\u00bb Le trait d\u2019indignation de la part des d\u00e9tracteurs du laur\u00e9at est d\u2019autant plus virulent que <em>120 battements par minute<\/em> de Robin Campillo, grand favori, a d\u00fb en \u00eatre \u00e9cart\u00e9\u00a0; alors que ses th\u00e9matiques du sida et de l\u2019homosexualit\u00e9 font davantage l\u2019unanimit\u00e9 dans les sph\u00e8res artistique et m\u00e9diatique.<\/p>\n<p>Pourtant, la satire envers l\u2019id\u00e9ologie dominante l\u2019a emport\u00e9. <em>The Square <\/em>est de ce fait plut\u00f4t jug\u00e9 de <em>r\u00e9ac\u2019<\/em>. L\u2019art contemporain et sa vacuit\u00e9 de sens, l\u2019hypocrisie des sociaux-d\u00e9mocrates, le faux int\u00e9r\u00eat pour la culture\u00a0: tout y passe. Leur d\u00e9bauche aussi, dont les sc\u00e8nes signent un rappel aux sc\u00e8nes festives de <em>La Dolce Vita<\/em> und von <em>La grande bellezza<\/em> respectivement \u2013 le premier ayant \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9galement prim\u00e9 de la Palme d\u2019or en son temps ; le second, de l\u2019Oscar du meilleur film \u00e9tranger. En plus,\u00a0\u00d6stlund appuie avec une acuit\u00e9 particuli\u00e8re sur les points sensibles de la m\u00e9fiance face \u00e0 autrui, la terreur des banlieues et surtout la l\u00e2chet\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Le r\u00e9alisateur touche juste. La b\u00eate qui est en l\u2019homme ressort dans une forme bien \u00e2cre. Et le d\u00e9calage se montre notamment pour les bobos. La sc\u00e8ne embl\u00e9matique du ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne dans le long-m\u00e9trage expose une performance o\u00f9 un acteur joue le singe au souper de gala du mus\u00e9e. Les convives sont en un premier temps amus\u00e9s, mais l\u2019angoisse monte car le spectacle dure et l\u2019intervenant devient agressif, au point de tirer une femme par les cheveux. Qu\u2019est-ce qui est cependant plus bestial\u00a0: l\u2019action violente de l\u2019acteur ou l\u2019indiff\u00e9rence de la plupart des spectateurs baissant le regard vers leur assiette, immobiles, de peur d\u2019\u00eatre pris \u00e0 partie \u00e0 leur tour\u00a0? Face \u00e0 une telle compilation de r\u00e9primandes pour la bourgeoisie gauchiste, \u00e9videmment, <em>Der Figaro<\/em> crie au chef-d\u2019\u0153uvre.<\/p>\n<h3>Une critique de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 qui sonne faux<\/h3>\n<p>L\u2019esth\u00e9tisme du film est vant\u00e9 par-dessus le march\u00e9. On remarque l\u00e0 que si, effectivement, la cam\u00e9ra est dirig\u00e9e par un irr\u00e9futable talent, o\u00f9 m\u00eame les tonalit\u00e9s jaune \u00e9puisant donnent du sens au r\u00e9cit, le trop esth\u00e9tique et le trop significatif sonnent faux. De la reprise du plan italien, d\u00e9suet depuis belle lurette, au plan en plong\u00e9e totale sur l\u2019acteur principal en smoking sous la pluie entour\u00e9s de d\u00e9chets\u00a0; tout est orient\u00e9 pour donner l\u2019impression d\u2019un cin\u00e9ma qui a du style. En d\u2019autres termes, tout semble film\u00e9 pour que <em>The Square<\/em> se d\u00e9marque et fasse partie de ce genre de films dont on devrait hurler sur les toits qu\u2019ils sont beaux. Le proc\u00e9d\u00e9 est pouss\u00e9 \u00e0 un tel niveau que le cin\u00e9phile se retrouve face \u00e0 un moule \u00e0 Palme d\u2019or. Le contenu manque malgr\u00e9 tout. Ce cin\u00e9ma est facile\u00a0; il devient par cons\u00e9quent regrettable que le jury du festival de Cannes soit entr\u00e9 dans le petit jeu d\u2019\u00d6stlund, qui collecte positions de cam\u00e9ra inhabituelles, jeux de lumi\u00e8res et de zoom \u00e0 tire-larigot.<\/p>\n<p>La mise en sc\u00e8ne a donc tout pour \u00eatre sublime ; dommage que la d\u00e9marche soit scolaire et pitoyable. Les le\u00e7ons \u00ab\u00a0comment gagner la Palme d\u2019or\u00a0?\u00a0\u00bb ou \u00ab\u00a0comment cr\u00e9er une sc\u00e8ne culte\u00a0\u00bb y sont appliqu\u00e9es. Ainsi en est-il pour le fond. Alors que le film se d\u00e9lecte \u00e0 vomir la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 bien-pensante et moralisatrice, lui-m\u00eame a ses c\u00f4t\u00e9s bien-pensants et moralisateurs. Dans des lieux toujours carr\u00e9s, le r\u00e9alisateur filme des mendiants dont personne ne s\u2019occupe, en r\u00e9duisant la foule qui leur passe \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 \u00e0 une masse d\u2019imb\u00e9ciles insensibles. Il est si rassurant de se dire que ce sont les bobos qui portent, en r\u00e9alit\u00e9, la responsabilit\u00e9 de tous les malheurs\u00a0! En d\u00e9pit de ses \u00e9l\u00e9ments int\u00e9ressants, <em>The Square<\/em> se suicide dans le pr\u00eat-\u00e0-penser, au nom d\u2019une critique de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9.
