Musumeci<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00abWas werden wir mit dem Jungen machen k\u00f6nnen?\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Miguel Rivera ist ein Kind aus der mexikanischen Kleinstadt Santa Cecilia. Von dort tr\u00e4gt er ein starkes Familiengef\u00fchl in sich. Im Vorfeld des unumg\u00e4nglichen <em>Dia de los Muertos<\/em> - das Fest der Toten - alles wurde vorbereitet, um den Rivera-Ahnen eine gute j\u00e4hrliche R\u00fcckkehr zu bereiten, indem Opfergaben dargebracht und die Fotografie jedes verstorbenen Mitglieds auf dem Hausaltar ausgestellt wurde.<\/p>\n<p>Nur eine Figur thront nicht als Effigie: die des Vaters von <em>Mama<\/em> Coco, die Ururgro\u00dfmutter und Vertraute von Miguel. Die mysteri\u00f6se Person soll ihre Familie verlassen haben, um ihrer Bestimmung zu folgen: der Musik. Da sie als verflucht galt, wurde die Musik selbst von der Familie v\u00f6llig verbannt und gehasst. Dabei tr\u00e4umt der Junge von nichts anderem, als Musiker zu werden. Heimlich.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Nicht nur der Animationsfilm von Lee Unkrich, dem Sch\u00f6pfer von <em>Toy Story<\/em>, \u00fcberrascht durch die Tiefe seiner Handlung, behandelt jedoch ein ebenso vernachl\u00e4ssigtes wie zentrales Thema: die Familie und ihre Traditionen. Auf den ersten Blick wirkt sie erdr\u00fcckend und schr\u00e4nkt das Schicksal des Kindes ein, doch im Laufe der Geschichte wird deutlich, wie wichtig sie f\u00fcr dessen pers\u00f6nliche Entwicklung ist. Zudem haben famili\u00e4re Regeln ihre Gr\u00fcnde; und Miguels Reife wird gerade darin bestehen, sie zu akzeptieren, ohne die gesunde Rebellion fortzusetzen, die ganz zu Beginn der Pubert\u00e4t auftritt.<\/p>\n<p>Um dieses zentrale Thema herum drehen sich auch gesellschaftliche Fragestellungen wie der Weggang eines Vaters, die Erziehung eines Kindes in Einsamkeit und die zentrale Rolle, die dabei der Akt der Vergebung einnimmt. Es ist erstaunlich, dass Disney, das manchmal eine vereinfachende Sicht auf die Welt gezeigt hat, die f\u00fcr junge Zuschauer sch\u00e4dlich sein kann, sich eines solchen Szenarios annimmt und es mit gro\u00dfer p\u00e4dagogischer Kompetenz behandelt. <em>Coco<\/em> sagt n\u00e4mlich, dass die Familie tragisch ist, das hei\u00dft, dass sie uns \u00fcberfordert \u2013 durch ihre unver\u00e4nderliche Abstammungslinie eines Menschen auf der Suche nach Sinn.<\/p>\n<p>Neben der Tiefe des Zeichentrickfilms, der Kinder auf ehrliche Weise anspricht, \u00fcberzeugt die von Pixar gepr\u00e4gte Grafik weiterhin durch ihre Klarheit und eine immer feinere digitale Bildgestaltung. Die Szenen sind meist von eher dunklen Farbt\u00f6nen gepr\u00e4gt, wodurch die Lichtakzente \u2013 sei es durch orangefarbene Bl\u00fctenbl\u00e4tter oder einfach durch die Augen der Figuren \u2013 besonders strahlen.
