Musumeci<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00abPoker ist Geschicklichkeit\u00bb.\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Molly Bloom f\u00e4hrt mit Kraft und Entschlossenheit die Piste hinunter. Schon in jungen Jahren wurde sie von ihrem Vater dazu gedr\u00e4ngt, eine Meisterin im Buckelpistenfahren zu werden. Als sie zw\u00f6lf Jahre alt ist, brechen sowohl ihre Hoffnungen als auch ihr R\u00fccken. Doch obwohl die \u00c4rzte ihr raten, mit dem Hochleistungssport aufzuh\u00f6ren, st\u00fcrzt sie sich ein Jahr nach ihrer Operation mit voller Kraft in den Sport. Als sie kurz vor den Olympischen Spielen steht, ver\u00e4ndert ein weiterer Unfall ihr Leben. Da sie nun keinen Sport mehr treiben kann, geht sie nach Los Angeles, um Jura zu studieren. Inzwischen hat sich der einst geliebte Vater verbittert von seiner Tochter abgewandt.<\/p>\n<p>Neue Stadt, neues Leben. Die ehemalige Skifahrerin verdient sich in einer spie\u00dfigen Bar ein wenig Geld. Dort lernt sie einen triebgesteuerten Gesch\u00e4ftsmann kennen. Da sie gierig ist, sich ein besseres Leben zu leisten, wird sie sowohl seine Assistentin als auch seine Dienerin. Dort muss sie die Pokerspiele ihres Chefs organisieren, zu denen die ganze Familie kommt. <em>Jetset <\/em>des Spiels. Die Begegnungen sind zahlreich. Molly Bloom macht sich einen Namen. Sie beginnt, ihre eigenen illegalen Pokerspiele mit reichen Spielern zu organisieren. Der Erfolg w\u00e4chst, doch dann kommt das Ungl\u00fcck.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Mutige Ideen<\/h3>\n<p>Die Geschichte basiert auf wahren Begebenheiten. Die echte Molly Bloom hatte diese in ihren Memoiren geschildert, <em>Molly\u2019s Game<\/em>. Die Abenteuer der jungen Frau waren zweifellos \u00e4u\u00dferst spannend. Der Film hingegen ist das \u00fcberhaupt nicht. Aaron Sorkin hat sich mit guten Absichten und mutigen Ideen an die Regie gewagt; leider endet das, was ein \u00abgro\u00dfes Spektakel\u00bb werden sollte, in \u00abgro\u00dfer Langeweile\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p><em>Das gro\u00dfe Spiel<\/em> dauert tats\u00e4chlich mehr als zwei Stunden, die ebenso inhaltslos wie sinnlos sind. Die wichtigsten Ereignisse sind bereits nach den ersten zwanzig Minuten abgehandelt. Danach besteht alles nur noch aus L\u00fcckenf\u00fcller in Form von erm\u00fcdenden Wiederholungen. \u00a0Molly Bloom organisiert Pokerrunden, sie hat Probleme, setzt ihre Pokerabende aber fort, dann hat sie wieder Probleme, wechselt den Ort und st\u00fcrzt sich erneut ins Pokerspiel, usw. Eine solche Routine h\u00e4tte in einem Werk mit mehr Substanz und einem konsistenteren Stil gut funktionieren k\u00f6nnen. So wie es ist, bleibt nur das Scheitern festzustellen.<\/p>\n<h3>Ein waghalsiger Rhythmus<\/h3>\n<p>Der Regisseur hat versucht, mit dem Tempo zu spielen, um seine Wiederholungen zu untermauern. Allerdings wird die Abfolge von Nahaufnahmen \u2013 von der Zigarette eines Spielers \u00fcber die Spielchips und ein Glas Alkohol bis hin zu Mollys Gesicht \u2013 nicht gut genutzt. Sie l\u00e4sst den Zuschauer die Schwere des Teufelskreises, den ein Leben in Ausschweifung mit sich bringt, nicht sp\u00fcren, da die Kamera den Szenen vor dem Objektiv gegen\u00fcber unger\u00fchrt zu bleiben scheint. Kurz gesagt: Es gibt kein Leben. Nicht einmal in den Szenen, in denen die Atmosph\u00e4re eigentlich besonders angespannt sein m\u00fcsste.<\/p>\n<p>Was schlie\u00dflich am meisten nervt: die Dialoge. Auch in diesem Punkt hat Aaron Sorkin versucht, einen lockeren Rhythmus in der Form zu finden und gleichzeitig einen ernsten Hintergrund zum Vorschein zu bringen. Fehlgeschlagen! Es ist unertr\u00e4glich, st\u00e4ndig zuzuh\u00f6ren, wie die Schauspieler schreien, aufstehen, sich hinsetzen, die Arme verschr\u00e4nken, scheinbare Freude oder k\u00fcnstliche Emp\u00f6rung zur Schau stellen und ihrem Gespr\u00e4chspartner ins Wort fallen. Poker hat nicht nur Molly Bloom ruiniert, sondern auch einen Film verdorben.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abIch habe die Nase voll von diesem Haufen von Verkommenen.
