Internationales Filmfestival Freiburg - Loris S. Musumeci<\/i><\/p>\n

\u00ab Er h\u00e4tte noch l\u00e4nger leben k\u00f6nnen, aber er hat in vollen Z\u00fcgen gelebt.\u00bb<\/p>\n

Das Bett quietscht. Yoshiko und ihr Freund widmen sich tiefen sexuellen \u00dcbungen. Sie sind schwei\u00dfgebadet. Pl\u00f6tzlich klingelt das Telefon. Das M\u00e4dchen unterbricht, um ans Telefon zu gehen. Es ist eine traurige Nachricht. Vom Fenster aus teilt sie ihrem Vater mit, dass \u00abOpa gestorben ist\u00bb. Als sie zu ihrem Partner zur\u00fcckkehrt, erh\u00e4lt sie ein sehr wohlwollendes \u00abWillst du, dass wir aufh\u00f6ren?.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Toute la famille est mal \u00e0 l\u2019aise\u00a0; personne ne sait que dire. A l\u2019h\u00f4pital, le p\u00e8re de Yoshiko et son fr\u00e8re se disputent\u00a0: ils se renvoient manquements et irresponsabilit\u00e9s. Yoshiko, elle, retrouve pour l’occasion sa cousine avec joie, mais les deux s\u2019\u00e9changent un \u00ab\u00a0\u00e7a fait longtemps\u00a0\u00bb, tr\u00e8s r\u00e9v\u00e9lateur de l\u2019\u00e9tat de la famille. Avec la vie, le travail, les divorces et compagnie, la famille du d\u00e9funt grand-p\u00e8re Isao s\u2019est d\u00e9cid\u00e9ment effrit\u00e9e. Comme si la situation n\u2019\u00e9tait d\u00e9j\u00e0 pas assez compliqu\u00e9e, il faut d\u00e9sormais encore penser \u00e0 caser la grand-m\u00e8re, s\u00e9nile.<\/p>\n

Eine kitschig<\/em> grandios<\/h3>\n

Im Gegensatz zu den anderen Spielfilmen im internationalen Wettbewerb des Internationalen Filmfestivals von Freiburg, Tsch\u00fcss, Opa!<\/em> setzt seinen Erfolg nicht auf die Fotografie. Abgesehen von einigen Einstellungen, deren Eleganz der Tragikom\u00f6die dient \u2013 insbesondere jene, in der die beiden Cousinen an einem Zaun stehen und rauchen \u2013, reiht der Film Szenen mit Bildern an, die kitschig<\/em> grandios. Manche erkennen darin einen japanischen Einfluss; andere sehen darin einen Anlass, sich angesichts dieser Wiesen, deren Gr\u00fcn ebenso \u00fcberbewertet und digital wie absto\u00dfend ist, zu \u00fcbergeben.<\/p>\n

Yukihiro Morigaki hingegen trifft in seiner Inszenierung den Kern des Themas viel besser. Er zeigt das Drama westlicher, st\u00e4dtischer Familien, zu denen auch Yoshikos Familie voll und ganz geh\u00f6rt. Die Japaner leben schlie\u00dflich nach westlichem Vorbild, obwohl sie sich im Fernen Osten der Welt befinden. Im Allgemeinen sprechen die Br\u00fcder nicht mehr miteinander, es sei denn, um sich um ein Erbe zu streiten. Die Cousins wiederum verlieren jegliche N\u00e4he zueinander: Die einen leben hier, die anderen dort. Folglich sind \u00abHochzeiten und Beerdigungen immer dieselben Familientreffen.\u00bb<\/p>\n

L’individu et la famille<\/h3>\n

Die Geschichte zeigt ganz unverbl\u00fcmt den modernen Menschen im Umgang mit dieser l\u00e4stigen und erdr\u00fcckenden Gruppe, die man Familie nennt. Yoshikos Bruder studiert in der Stadt; seine Kleidung ist sehr modisch und er wirkt etwas feminin. Es \u00fcberrascht nicht, dass sich die Familie \u00fcber ihn lustig macht. Yoshikos Cousin hingegen ist ein fast schon krankhaft introvertierter Mensch. Es \u00fcberrascht nicht, dass sich die Familie \u00fcber ihn lustig macht. Yoshikos Onkel wurde von seiner Frau verlassen, weil er, wenn man seinem eigenen Bruder Glauben schenkt, nur \u2019ein armer Spie\u00dfer\u00ab ist. Es \u00fcberrascht nicht, dass die Familie sich \u00fcber ihn lustig macht.<\/p>\n

Jeder k\u00f6nnte sich mit dem Bild des in der Familie verspotteten Verlierers identifizieren. Denn es sind ja gerade die Schw\u00e4chen der Familienmitglieder, die in den Vordergrund ger\u00fcckt werden. Gleichzeitig besteht die Herausforderung f\u00fcr alle Protagonisten, angefangen bei Yoshiko, darin, auch die guten Seiten der Eltern zu entdecken, um diesen Bruder, Cousin, Onkel oder Vater so zu lieben, wie er ist. Morigaki bringt diese Suche in seinem Drehbuch gut zum Ausdruck, was eine eher kathartische Wirkung hat.<\/p>\n

Die guten alten Zeiten<\/h3>\n

Schlie\u00dflich sagt die Figur der Gro\u00dfmutter viel dar\u00fcber aus, wie man \u00e4ltere Menschen wertsch\u00e4tzt. Nicht nur Tsch\u00fcss, Opa!<\/em> d\u00e9nonce, de mani\u00e8re un peu facile tout de m\u00eame, leur d\u00e9nigrement, mais il soutient la lucidit\u00e9 dont ils font souvent preuve malgr\u00e9 la s\u00e9nilit\u00e9. Leur simple pr\u00e9sence, d\u2019ailleurs, est \u00e9rig\u00e9e en tr\u00e9sor, dans la mesure o\u00f9 elle provoque un tant soit peu de tendresse, rem\u00e9morant aux g\u00e9n\u00e9rations qui suivent le temps de l\u2019enfance. Le temps o\u00f9 famille et solidarit\u00e9 ne faisaient qu’un.<\/p>\n

Le film vaut donc la peine d\u2019\u00eatre visionn\u00e9 pour ces quelques bons points. A ajouter\u00a0: son habilet\u00e9 \u00e0 traiter de la mort dans un long-m\u00e9trage consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme une com\u00e9die \u00e0 humour noir. Pour le reste, rien d’original, rien de puissant, rien de transcendant, rien de mortel.<\/p>\n
