Im Radio ert\u00f6nen oppositionelle Stimmen, die Menschen gehen auf die Stra\u00dfe, um gegen die Krise zu protestieren, doch das alte Ehepaar, das wir begleiten, scheint diese Ereignisse zu \u00fcbersehen, da es zu sehr damit besch\u00e4ftigt ist, seine eigenen Grundbed\u00fcrfnisse zu befriedigen - eine warme Mahlzeit, flie\u00dfendes Wasser, Strom. Candelaria, die fast achtzig Jahre alt ist, arbeitet - die wirtschaftlichen Bedingungen zwingen sie dazu - trotz ihres hohen Alters noch immer als Zimmerm\u00e4dchen in einer touristischen Einrichtung. Un jour, Candelaria retrouve une cam\u00e9ra dans un panier de linge sale au travail et d\u00e9cide de la ramener \u00e0 la maison. Cet objet m\u00e8nera notre couple \u00e0 se red\u00e9couvrir apr\u00e8s tant d\u2019ann\u00e9es d\u2019habitude et de routine. \u00ab Quand ai-je arr\u00eat\u00e9 de te regarder&nbsp;? \u00bb, demande avec tendresse Victor Hugo \u00e0 Candelaria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"de-l-hyperrealisme-au-voyeurisme\">De l\u2019hyperr\u00e9alisme au voyeurisme<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Le r\u00e9alisateur colombien Jhonny Hendrix Hinestroza nous d\u00e9peint avec grand r\u00e9alisme le quotidien d\u2019un vieux couple sans enfants. Candelaria materne cinq poussins et Victor Hugo a tiss\u00e9 un lien paternel avec un jeune homme nomm\u00e9 Manuel. Malgr\u00e9 la pr\u00e9sence de Manuel, nous percevons la solitude de ce couple, qui semble isol\u00e9 de toute relation affective, qu\u2019elle soit amicale ou familiale. La maison o\u00f9 vivent nos deux octog\u00e9naires est d\u00e9labr\u00e9e, la peinture s\u2019effrite, il pleut \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur et les coupures de courant sont plus que fr\u00e9quentes. Dans ce cadre d\u00e9cr\u00e9pit, nous assistons \u00e0 des sc\u00e8nes de vie intime, o\u00f9 le corps d\u00e9nud\u00e9 de Candelaria est mis en sc\u00e8ne avec naturalisme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mais dans ces instants de vie priv\u00e9e et sexuelle du couple, le spectateur ne per\u00e7oit pas la sensualit\u00e9 du moment. Il est plut\u00f4t g\u00ean\u00e9 et d\u00e9rang\u00e9 par cette intrusion voyeuriste et par la vision de ces corps s\u00e9niles et marqu\u00e9s par le temps. Les mouvements de la cam\u00e9ra accentuent ce sentiment d\u2019indiscr\u00e9tion&nbsp;; de nombreux obstacles sont souvent au premier plan, comme si le spectateur \u00e9tait cach\u00e9 derri\u00e8re un meuble, arm\u00e9 d\u2019une cam\u00e9ra amateure qu\u2019il pointerait clandestinement sur ces corps d\u00e9labr\u00e9s et cette intimit\u00e9 vol\u00e9e. Le r\u00e9alisateur n\u2019id\u00e9alise pas la vieillesse, mais en expose la solitude, la maladie, la peur de la mort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"un-cauchemar-en-pastel\">Un cauchemar en pastel<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Si le spectateur s\u2019attend \u00e0 voyager dans l\u2019ambiance <em>caliente<\/em> de Cuba avec ce film, il risquera d\u2019\u00eatre d\u00e9\u00e7u. Le st\u00e9r\u00e9otype cubain est absent de ce long-m\u00e9trage o\u00f9 tr\u00e8s peu d\u2019images de La Havane nous sont livr\u00e9es\u00a0et o\u00f9 la danse et la musique sont presque absentes. Ce qui marque le spectateur, c\u2019est avant tout la pauvret\u00e9 dans laquelle vivent nos protagonistes: ils ont faim, tr\u00e8s faim \u2013 quelques grains de riz et quelques morceaux de viande font office de festin. Les chaussures us\u00e9es de Victor Hugo nous rappellent qu\u2019il a tout vendu, y compris leurs v\u00eatements, pour pouvoir se payer des repas. Toutefois, Jhonny Hendrix Hinestroza ne se concentre pas sur les particularit\u00e9s de l\u2019\u00eele, conf\u00e9rant ainsi \u00e0 son film une valeur universelle: ce vieux couple affam\u00e9 est latino-am\u00e9ricain plus que cubain. Voici ce qu\u2019exprime le r\u00e9alisateur dans un entretien: \u00abCette force int\u00e9rieure, cette volont\u00e9 de vouloir s\u2019en sortir au quotidien, me permettent de cr\u00e9er des personnages et de chair et d\u2019os en rencontrant quelque chose d\u2019essentiel pour moi pour parler d\u2019exp\u00e9riences de vie: la dignit\u00e9\u00bb (entretien du 3 avril 2018 par C\u00e9dric L\u00e9pine pour Mediapart).
