Wasser, das aufgrund der Farbe des Topfes schwarz erscheint. Zentrale Farbe in <em>Sweet Country<\/em>, Der Western spielt im Australien der 1920er Jahre und zeigt die rassistischen Spannungen dieser Zeit zwischen Aborigines und Wei\u00dfen. Das Vokabular ist rau: \u00abschwarzes Vieh\u00bb, \u00abdreckiger Nigger\u00bb - der Film l\u00e4sst die Bezeichnungen schnell h\u00f6ren und erinnert in einigen Aspekten an den letzten Tarantino. Schwarz ist auch die Dunkelheit eines Zimmers, in dem eine Vergewaltigung stattfindet.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Und die Geschichte eines ganz bestimmten Schwarzen soll die Geschichte des Films sein: Der Landarbeiter Sam Kelly (Hamilton Morris) muss mit seiner Frau fliehen, nachdem er einen Wei\u00dfen get\u00f6tet hat. Sergeant Fletcher (Bryan Brown) nimmt die Verfolgung auf. Diese Reise ist erhaben. Sie beruht auf einer virtuosen Fotografie, die orangefarbene Aufnahmen von den gro\u00dfen Weiten der Wildnis aneinanderreiht.\u2019<em>outback<\/em>, Der Film zeigt das riesige, trockene Hinterland und die Vegetation der australischen Steppe. Im Gegensatz zu diesem \u00c4sthetizismus steht der harte Realismus, der vor allem durch das v\u00f6llige Fehlen von Musik gekennzeichnet ist. Wir folgen den Atemz\u00fcgen, den Zweifeln, der M\u00fcdigkeit und den wenigen Worten der Figuren.<\/p>\n<p>Diese werden auf originelle Weise gefilmt: Der Zuschauer erlebt zum Beispiel den ersten Auftritt des Sergeants \u00abvon unten\u00bb und \u00abvon hinten\u00bb, da sich die Kamera auf einer T\u00fcrschwelle befindet und den Abgang der Figur verfolgt. Auch wenn das Tempo von <em>Sweet Country<\/em> die Tradition des klassischen Westerns respektiert, ist die Zeitlichkeit innovativ: Die <em>R\u00fcckblenden\u00a0<\/em>und die <em>flashforwards<\/em>\u00a0werden als verschachtelte, stumme Szenen gebracht, mit den Ger\u00e4uschen der Szene in der Gegenwart im Hintergrund, die man noch h\u00f6ren kann. Diese ganze Arbeit ist bewundernswert und das Gesicht des unbekannten Hamilton Morris, ein echtes Filmgesicht, ist allein schon ein Fundst\u00fcck.<\/p>\n<p>Allerdings muss man dem Regisseur Warwick Thornton vorwerfen, dass er zu lange - etwa 30 Minuten - gebraucht hat, um das ausl\u00f6sende Element, den Mord an dem Wei\u00dfen, herbeizuf\u00fchren, der den eigentlichen Beginn des Films markiert. Au\u00dferdem sind ein oder zwei Lieder <em>Country<\/em> oder ein paar einfache Instrumentals auf der Trockengitarre h\u00e4tten der Originalit\u00e4t der Umsetzung nicht geschadet, ganz im Gegenteil. Schlie\u00dflich h\u00e4tte die visuelle Herausforderung, die der Film eingegangen ist und die wir gelobt haben, gleichzeitig mit einer Vertiefung der Komplexit\u00e4t der Charaktere rechnen k\u00f6nnen.
