Der Film nimmt sein Publikum mit in den Alltag des jungen Viktor Tsoi, der sp\u00e4teren sowjetischen Rock-Ikone, und seine Beziehung zu Mike Naumenko und seiner Frau Natalia.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more Lire l'article-->\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abLeto\u00bb, ce mot compos\u00e9 de deux syllabes, signifie l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 dans la langue de Dosto\u00efevski. Mais, au pays du pessimisme, \u00e0 cette \u00e9poque, pas le temps de voir la vie en noir. Et pour cause, le film d\u00e9bute par un concert de rock\u2018n\u2019roll dans un th\u00e9\u00e2tre \u2013 le \u00abLeningrad rock club\u00bb, apprendra-t-on par la suite. Sur sc\u00e8ne, un guitariste avec son groupe Zoopark, Mike Naumenko, sorte d\u2019hybride entre un Elvis Presley socialiste et un Slash aux cheveux courts, fait vibrer le public avec sa chanson <em>(You\u2019re a) Scum<\/em>. Un jeune public tr\u00e8s enthousiaste mais encadr\u00e9 par une \u00e9troite surveillance d\u2019instituteurs et d\u2019agents qui n\u2019h\u00e9sitent pas \u00e0 corriger les personnes qui se laisseraient un peu trop emporter par cette musique ennemie. Apr\u00e8s tout, rappelons-le, le rock\u2018n\u2019roll est anglo-am\u00e9ricain, donc capitalo-fasciste et, bien entendu, contraire \u00e0 l\u2019esprit des prol\u00e9taires. Et pourtant, \u00e0 Leningrad, au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es quatre-vingt, qui l\u2019e\u00fbt cru, cette musique a eu sa place et m\u00eame ses ic\u00f4nes, ses chansons cultes et ses concerts; au c\u0153ur du r\u00e9gime totalitaire, la contre-culture vit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Un sc\u00e9nario, entre fiction et r\u00e9alit\u00e9<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Co\u00efncidant avec les d\u00e9buts de la <em>perestro\u00efka<\/em> (les politiques de modernisation et de lib\u00e9ralisation amorc\u00e9es par Mikha\u00efl Gorbatchev en ex-URSS), <em>Leto<\/em> suit la trajectoire de Viktor Tso\u00ef, jeune sculpteur sur bois et guitariste-chanteur dans un groupe d\u2019amis, et sa rencontre avec celui qui deviendra son mentor, Mike Naumenko. Celui-ci, plus \u00e2g\u00e9 et d\u00e9j\u00e0 reconnu pour son g\u00e9nie et son style, guidera Viktor en lui donnant des conseils, en l\u2019aidant pour ses compositions et en lui pr\u00eatant des albums de groupes occidentaux. Les deux hommes vont, au fil du film, nouer une relation aux multiples facettes: ma\u00eetre et disciple, rivaux musicaux, et, notamment rivaux amoureux. Quant \u00e0 la femme de Mike, Natalia, attir\u00e9e par Viktor, elle aura une br\u00e8ve liaison avec lui \u2013 une \u00abamourette d\u2019\u00e9cole\u00bb, dira-t-elle. Un trio complice et amical mais qui, au fil du temps, commencera \u00e0 se dissoudre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le sc\u00e9nario du long-m\u00e9trage, inspir\u00e9 en partie par l\u2019autobiographie r\u00e9dig\u00e9e par Natalia Naoumenko, alterne entre r\u00e9alit\u00e9 et fiction, en jouant notamment sur les couleurs. Certains plans ou sc\u00e8nes apparaissent en noir et blanc, comme s\u2019il s\u2019agissait d\u2019images d\u2019archives. Puis, l\u2019instant d\u2019apr\u00e8s, la cam\u00e9ra projette parfois sur deux moiti\u00e9s d\u2019\u00e9cran des images anim\u00e9es en couleurs, dont la qualit\u00e9 \u00e9voque celle d\u2019un documentaire r\u00e9alis\u00e9 \u00e0 partir d\u2019images de l\u2019\u00e9poque. Lors d\u2019une sc\u00e8ne importante du film, dans un train, un des passagers provoque le groupe de jeunes rebelles dont fait partie Viktor en disant \u00e0 l\u2019un d\u2019entre eux: \u00abTu chantes les chansons de notre ennemi id\u00e9ologique.\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette sc\u00e8ne, tourn\u00e9e en noir et blanc, voit ensuite un combat dantesque et sauvage entre les jeunes et les autres passagers du train. Au cours de l\u2019affrontement, la cam\u00e9ra utilise des effets pour d\u00e9voiler un clip vid\u00e9o avec des incrustations graphiques \u2013 com\u00e8tes, fus\u00e9es, yeux \u00e9tranges, \u2026 \u2013 et le tout sur une reprise de la chanson <em>Psycho Killer<\/em> des Talking Heads. Cependant, \u00e0 la fin du clip, l\u2019un des personnages, un grand blond v\u00eatu de noir, semblable \u00e0 une divinit\u00e9 psychopompe, annonce au spectateur que \u00abrien de ce qui s\u2019est pass\u00e9 n\u2019a r\u00e9ellement eu lieu\u00bb. En brouillant cette fronti\u00e8re entre r\u00e9alit\u00e9 et fiction imaginative, le r\u00e9alisateur prend de vitesse les attentes du public. Cependant, cela pose, parfois, quelques probl\u00e8mes de compr\u00e9hension aux spectateurs; cet homme blond faisant plusieurs apparitions au cours du film, l\u2019on en vient \u00e0 douter de ce qui a eu lieu ou non, ce qui influe sur la compr\u00e9hension globale des \u00e9v\u00e9nements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>L\u2019univers du rock\u2018n\u2019roll, une constellation de r\u00e9f\u00e9rences<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Le r\u00e9alisateur du film, Kirill Serebrennikov, signe une production au sein de laquelle la musique tient une place fondamentale. D\u00e8s la sc\u00e8ne d\u2019ouverture, avec ce fameux concert, le spectateur plonge dans un univers musical jusqu\u2019alors inconnu; Zoopark, Kino, Viktor Tso\u00ef, Mike Naoumenko, Iouri Chevtchouk, n\u2019\u00e9voquent rien pour le spectateur occidental. Au panth\u00e9on du rock\u2018n\u2019roll, ceux-ci n\u2019ont ni si\u00e8ge, ni nom, ni r\u00e9putation. Et pourtant, lorsque Mike montre \u00e0 Viktor la pochette de Velvet Underground, lorsque Viktor et Natacha chantent ensemble <em>The Passenger<\/em> d\u2019Iggy Pop ou encore lorsqu\u2019ils s\u2019enivrent tous ensemble sur la chanson <em>Children of the Revolution<\/em> de T-Rex, la galaxie inconnue devient soudainement famili\u00e8re. La magie de Leto repose sur cette synesth\u00e9sie entre un microcosme inconnu qui, par quelques touches de r\u00e9f\u00e9rences partag\u00e9es et de v\u00e9cus, devient un fragment de notre univers r\u00e9f\u00e9rentiel musical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La bande-son rel\u00e8ve d\u2019une s\u00e9lection h\u00e9t\u00e9rog\u00e8ne et particuli\u00e8rement riche et entra\u00eenante. Celle-ci alterne entre des chansons de groupes sovi\u00e9tiques de l\u2019\u00e9poque, par exemple Leto du groupe Kino, des reprises de groupes connus comme celles de The Talking Heads, The Passenger et autres. Finalement, ce qui compl\u00e8te le tout et ancre le public, ce sont les chansons issues de la contre-culture anglo-am\u00e9ricaine, souvent ins\u00e9r\u00e9es par des m\u00e9diums au sein du long-m\u00e9trage &#8211; litt\u00e9rature, radio et disques. Ainsi en est-t-il des chansons de Lou Reed ou encore de David Bowie. Aujourd\u2019hui, une part de la culture sovi\u00e9tique \u00e9merge dans le champ audio-visuel. Des artistes, \u00e0 l\u2019instar de Farao et son dernier album Pure-O, composent en s\u2019inspirant des sources musicales de l\u2019ex-URSS. De m\u00eame, des longs-m\u00e9trages voient le jour, comme le documentaire <em>Elektro Moskva<\/em>, dans lequel des hommes \u00e2g\u00e9s se lancent \u00e0 la recherche d\u2019anciens synth\u00e9tiseurs sovi\u00e9tiques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lorsqu\u2019on assiste \u00e0 la projection de <em>Leto<\/em>, \u00e0 la rencontre entre Natacha et Viktor, aux concerts de Mike, aux discussions sur ce que signifie la musique, on ne peut s\u2019emp\u00eacher de penser \u00e0 ce qu\u2019\u00e9crit Velibor \u010coli\u0107 dans <em>Jesus und Tito<\/em>, alors qu\u2019il discute, adolescent, avec les autres membres de son groupe de rock en Yougoslavie: \u00abLe pire dans tout \u00e7a, c\u2019est que je sais qu\u2019ils ont raison, on ne cherche pas \u00e0 changer le monde. On veut juste avoir des copines.\u00bb On jurerait assister \u00e0 la conclusion d\u2019une conversation entre Mike et Viktor sur le r\u00f4le de la chanson, des styles, et autres subtilit\u00e9s. En regardant <em>Leto<\/em>, on ressent la nostalgie du futur \u00abToska po buduchemu\u00bb, comme le dira Evgueni Evtouchenko, po\u00e8te sovi\u00e9tique avide de libert\u00e9. La nostalgie joyeuse d\u2019un pass\u00e9 qui n\u2019a pas atteint notre \u00e9poque mais que l\u2019on regarde avec d\u00e9lice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Schreiben Sie dem Autor: <a
