Die Mauskovic Dance Band besteht aus f\u00fcnf Niederl\u00e4ndern. Angef\u00fchrt von Nicola Mauskovic, der seine Musik als \u00abeine Mischung aus Disco, Jazz und Afro-Beat, gespielt mit einem Post-Punk-Stil\u00bb definiert, boten diese \u00abNicht-Schulmusiker\u00bb eine <\/em>show auf der B\u00fchne von Le D\u00e9tour am Mittwoch, den 24. Juli. Zuvor hat uns der Schlagzeuger und Komponist, begleitet von kr\u00e4ftigen Bieren, einige Elemente der Antworten gegeben. Zersplittert, wie ihre verr\u00fcckte Musik.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Le Regard Libre<\/em>: Sie sagen, Sie lassen sich von afro-lateinamerikanischen und psychedelischen Einfl\u00fcssen inspirieren. Wie kommt das?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nicola Mauskovic: Wir lassen uns vor allem von der Musik beeinflussen, die wir gerade h\u00f6ren. Derzeit ist das vor allem eine Mischung aus eher \u00e4lterer afrikanischer Musik und Cumbia. Wenn wir anfangen, Musik zu machen, f\u00fcgen sich all diese Einfl\u00fcsse zusammen und flie\u00dfen in den Sound ein, den wir kreieren, ohne dass wir uns dessen bewusst sind. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wie w\u00fcrden Sie Ihre musikalische Entwicklung\nbeschreiben?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anfangs waren wir vor allem von Cumbia beeinflusst, da unser Schlagzeuger in einer Cumbia-Band in Amsterdam spielte. Nach und nach kamen dann immer mehr Disco-Elemente hinzu. Sp\u00e4ter haben wir uns eher in Richtung Post-Punk bewegt: Unser Sound wurde immer grungiger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sie arbeiten als Familie in der Mauskauvic\nDance Band. Wie l\u00e4uft die Zusammenarbeit untereinander?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ja, ich spiele mit meinen Cousins. Das l\u00e4uft wirklich gut: Wir kennen uns schon sehr lange. Bis auf wenige Ausnahmen verstehen wir uns hervorragend: Wir f\u00fchlen uns sehr verbunden. Wir sind mit derselben Musik aufgewachsen. Wir arbeiten schon seit der Schulzeit zusammen. Zun\u00e4chst haben wir viel gemeinsam in alten Jazzclubs gespielt. Dann haben wir uns getrennt: Ich habe andere Dinge gemacht, alle sind zum Studieren an verschiedene Orte gegangen und hatten andere Pl\u00e4ne. F\u00fcr das Projekt der Mauskovic Dance Band haben wir uns wieder zusammengefunden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Welche Rolle spielen Ihre Texte?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unsere Texte werden erst sp\u00e4ter zu unseren Kompositionen hinzugef\u00fcgt; es ist eine Art \u00abCollage\u00bb aus Dingen, die uns aufgefallen sind, und Erfahrungen, die wir in unserem Shows<\/em> sp\u00e4t in der Nacht. Es sind nie wirklich Geschichten; eher etwas sehr Fragmentiertes. Ich glaube nicht, dass das der Kern unserer Musik ist. Es geht eher darum, eine Atmosph\u00e4re zu erfassen als um die Texte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
