Kein Virus in der Luft, aber ein gebrochenes Bein. Der Fotoreporter ist es nicht gewohnt, zu Hause zu bleiben. Hier hat er keine Wahl. Also langweilt er sich. Er verbringt den ganzen Tag damit, aus dem Fenster seiner Wohnung zu schauen, das auf einen Innenhof hinausgeht. Er beobachtet t\u00e4glich, was seine Nachbarn tun. Es gibt angenehme Anblicke, wie den, den ihm die junge, bezaubernde T\u00e4nzerin Miss Torso - ohne sein Wissen - bietet, wenn sie sich sinnlich mit den Beinen in der Luft streckt oder wenn sie sich anzieht, w\u00e4hrend der Rest in der Luft h\u00e4ngt. Lustige Darbietungen, wie die Haushaltsszenen eines alten Paares oder die fr\u00fche Erm\u00fcdung eines jungen Paares. Eine traurige Vorstellung ist die von Miss Lonely Heart, die von einer Liebe tr\u00e4umt, die nicht kommt, aber den Empfang eines imagin\u00e4ren Liebhabers simuliert, der ihr einen Drink serviert, der nie getrunken wird.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more Lire la suite de la r\u00e9trospective-->\n\n\n\n<p>Et il y a le spectacle central du film: un autre couple. Madame Thorwald est gripp\u00e9e au lit. Monsieur Thorwald fait des allers-retours toute la journ\u00e9e. Jeff, qui peine \u00e0 trouver le sommeil, remarque que les allers-retours de Monsieur continuent la nuit. Etrange. Il observe, toujours discret, la situation avec son t\u00e9l\u00e9objectif de photographe. En plus des allers-retours, Monsieur Thorwald transporte tant\u00f4t une malle, tant\u00f4t une scie, tant\u00f4t une corde, tant\u00f4t un couteau. Il a l\u2019air angoiss\u00e9 et tendu. Et Madame Thorwald, pourtant alit\u00e9e, a disparu. Jeff veut en savoir plus. Trop d\u2019\u00e9l\u00e9ments suspects. Et s\u2019il s\u2019agissait d\u2019un meurtre conjugal? L\u2019infirmi\u00e8re de Jeff, qui lui rend visite au quotidien, finit par s\u2019int\u00e9resser aussi \u00e0 l\u2019affaire. Tout comme sa compagne, Lisa (interpr\u00e9t\u00e9e par la <em>sublimissimissimissime<\/em> Grace Kelly!) qui, agac\u00e9e en premi\u00e8re instance du manque d\u2019attention envers elle de son compagnon, tourne elle aussi le regard sur la cour. Bon sang! Les trois d\u00e9tectives en herbe en sont convaincus. En tout cas du point de vue technique. Jeff est en huis clos. Il peut observer, s\u2019\u00e9mouvoir, se rincer l\u2019\u0153il, s\u2019inqui\u00e9ter, mais sans possibilit\u00e9 d\u2019intervention. Comme le spectateur. Qui observe depuis son fauteuil les actions \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cran, mais n\u2019a aucune possibilit\u00e9 d\u2019intervenir dans le film. Le regard du spectateur, c\u2019est d\u2019ailleurs celui de Jeff. Depuis sa fen\u00eatre, il voit tout, sans tout voir. N\u2019est disponible dans son champ de vision que ce qui se passe \u00e0 la fen\u00eatre de ses voisins. Il a n\u00e9anmoins une bonne vue d\u2019ensemble, puisque c\u2019est l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9, il fait tr\u00e8s chaud, les fen\u00eatres sont ouvertes et les gens vivent quasiment \u00e0 leurs fen\u00eatres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette vue d\u2019ensemble, c\u2019est la vue du spectateur qui voit tout ce qui est film\u00e9 en <em>champ<\/em>, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur des plans film\u00e9s par la cam\u00e9ra. Les parois des appartements n\u2019\u00e9tant pas que des fen\u00eatres, il y a des interm\u00e9diaires, d\u2019une pi\u00e8ce \u00e0 l\u2019autre, que Jeff et le spectateur ne voient pas. C\u2019est le <em>hors-champ<\/em>. Permettant d\u2019ailleurs toute l\u2019intrigue du film. Jeff, sans \u00eatre vu, en a vu assez, m\u00eame plus qu\u2019assez, mais n\u2019a pas tout vu. Il n\u2019a pas vu l\u2019assassinat pr\u00e9sum\u00e9, ni le sang, ni le cadavre, mais il a vu tout le reste. Les seuls moments o\u00f9 cette sc\u00e9nographie n\u2019intervient pas sont les plans \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur de l\u2019appartement de Jeff. Les moments o\u00f9 il t\u00e2che d\u2019\u00eatre pr\u00e9sent \u00e0 lui-m\u00eame ou \u00e0 l\u2019intimit\u00e9 avec sa compagne. Mais Jeff est obs\u00e9d\u00e9 par l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur, surtout qu\u2019il y a peut-\u00eatre, m\u00eame certainement, un meurtre en jeu. Et il y a \u00e9videmment toujours plus int\u00e9ressant \u00e0 observer \u00e0 l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur: que ce soit avec la danseuse, le pianiste, les couples, une sculpture tr\u00e8s originale, un petit chien qui va mal finir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alors qu\u2019au d\u00e9but, c\u2019est le spectateur qui rejoint le regard de Jeff, c\u2019est Jeff qui, au fil du film, adopte celui d\u2019un spectateur condamn\u00e9 \u00e0 s\u2019oublier le temps d\u2019une s\u00e9ance de cin\u00e9ma, pour ne voir que ce que les plans veulent bien lui montrer. Les plans sont \u00e9tablis par le metteur en sc\u00e8ne, donc Hitchcock, qui appara\u00eet en cam\u00e9o un court instant dans un appartement en train de r\u00e9gler les aiguilles d\u2019une horloge. Il est ma\u00eetre du temps. Il nous prend en charge le temps d\u2019un film qu\u2019il a lui-m\u00eame d\u00e9termin\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Fen\u00eatre sur cour (A. Hitchcock, 1954) - Bande-annonce\" width=\"1000\" height=\"750\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GRtW95YmXmg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">L\u2019enfer, le paradis et les autres<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Die <em>split screen <\/em>induit aussi que les s\u00e9parations entre les fen\u00eatres s\u00e9parent les pi\u00e8ces, les appartement et ceux qui y vivent. Dans l\u2019ensemble qui est l\u2019\u00e9cran, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire le point de vue depuis la fen\u00eatre de Jeff, il y a une multitude de sc\u00e8nes de la vie quotidienne de diff\u00e9rentes personnes. L\u2019\u00e9cran dans son ensemble, c\u2019est la soci\u00e9t\u00e9; les fen\u00eatres, des portraits. <em>Fen\u00eatre sur cour<\/em> devient \u00e0 ce point totalement social. Il pr\u00e9sente des portraits de la vie moderne des ann\u00e9es cinquante. Sans ne rien d\u00e9noncer ou louer, ces portraits poussent \u00e0 la dimension philosophique du film en questionnant Jeff et le spectateur sur le mariage et ses cons\u00e9quences, sur la vie de couple tout simplement, sur la solitude, sur l\u2019individualisme, sur la cr\u00e9ation artistique dans cette solitude ou plus g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement sur le rapport de chacun \u00e0 l\u2019alt\u00e9rit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abL\u2019enfer, c\u2019est les autres\u00bb, dit-on chez Sartre, dans <em>Huis Clos<\/em> justement. Enfer ou pas, ces autres sont une n\u00e9cessit\u00e9. Jeff l\u2019incarne dans sa d\u00e9pendance \u00e0 l\u2019infirmi\u00e8re qui vient prendre soin de lui tous les jours. Dans son attachement \u00e0 Lisa envers laquelle il n\u2019arrive pas \u00e0 s\u2019engager pour la demander en mariage, mais dont il ne peut pas se s\u00e9parer. Dans l\u2019obsession qu\u2019il a \u00e0 regarder par la fen\u00eatre. Alors qu\u2019il pourrait ignorer le pr\u00e9sum\u00e9 meurtre, il se sent responsable d\u2019enqu\u00eater. C\u2019est d\u2019une part du voyeurisme, d\u2019autre part de la responsabilit\u00e9 envers le prochain. L\u2019enfer, c\u2019est les autres. Le paradis, c\u2019est les autres aussi. Parce que heureux ou malheureux, on ne peut pas se passer de regarder les autres. Ce qui change, c\u2019est la malveillance ou la bienveillance dans le regard. Jeff oscille entre les deux. Comme le spectateur. Nous sommes des \u00eatres en <em>split screen<\/em>.
