Ein Zukunftsroman, der fasziniert und sich gut lesen l\u00e4sst. Gleichzeitig fehlt es ihm jedoch manchmal an W\u00fcrze und l\u00e4sst den Leser hungrig zur\u00fcck. &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more Lire la recension (en libre acc\u00e8s)-->\n\n\n\n<p>Ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, la dystopie est le genre litt\u00e9raire qui a le vent en poupe. De <em>The Handmaid\u2019s tale<\/em> de Margaret Atwood (adapt\u00e9 par Netflix) \u00e0 <em>Simili-Love <\/em>d\u2019Antoine Jaquier, les sc\u00e9naristes et les \u00e9crivains en sont tr\u00e8s friands et font preuve d\u2019une remarquable inventivit\u00e9. Alors quand Philippe Testa, l\u2019auteur de <em>M\u00e2le Occidental <\/em>(H\u00e9lice H\u00e9las, 2018)et du <em>Cr\u00e9puscule des hommes <\/em>(L\u2019\u00c2ge d\u2019Homme, 2014), propose un nouveau roman o\u00f9 son pessimisme philosophique se marie avec la collapsologie, il y a de quoi \u00eatre curieux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"une-dystopie-tres-tres-sombre\">Eine sehr, sehr d\u00fcstere Dystopie<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u00abLe vieux monde se meurt, le nouveau monde tarde \u00e0 appara\u00eetre et dans ce clair-obscur surgissent les monstres.&nbsp;\u00bb <br><em>Antonio Gramsci<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Testa ne cite pas Gramsci \u2013 bien que ce soit le philosophe \u00e0 la mode ces derniers temps \u2013 dans son livre (en guise d\u2019exergue, le lecteur trouvera une citation du marquis de Sade), mais on sent le penseur italien pr\u00e9sent. Sur le papier, l\u2019ouvrage a de quoi s\u00e9duire, et ce d\u00e8s les premi\u00e8res lignes du roman: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u00abJe m\u00e8ne une vie tr\u00e8s conforme, sans surprise et sans remous, m\u00eame si \u2013 les news breaks ne parlent que de \u00e7a \u2013 le monde semble de plus en plus agit\u00e9.\u00bb<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Marvel, narrateur \u00e0 la premi\u00e8re personne, est employ\u00e9 dans une bo\u00eete qui ne le consid\u00e8re que comme un pion, jamais \u00e0 l\u2019abri d\u2019une \u00abrequalification\u00bb. Il vit \u00e0 Lausanne et son passe-temps favori, durant ses \u00abdays off\u00bb, est de se promener sur les quais de Montreux et au bord du lac L\u00e9man. Outre son m\u00e9tier peu enthousiasmant et son passe-temps solitaire, notre h\u00e9ros est \u00abd\u00e9connect\u00e9\u00bb. Z\u00e9ro point\u00e9 pour les relations sociales, il ne s\u2019entend pas tr\u00e8s bien avec son fr\u00e8re Formose, ni avec sa s\u0153ur Opeleptica. Les seules personnes pour qui il \u00e9prouve un tant soit peu d\u2019\u00e9motion sont Moro, son \u00abco-worker\u00bb survivaliste domicili\u00e9 \u00e0 Echallens, et Pia, son ex-petite-amie. Mais l\u2019avenir est sombre, tr\u00e8s sombre\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans ce futur pas si \u00e9loign\u00e9 chronologiquement de notre \u00e9poque, les individus sont accros aux \u00absocials\u00bb, mangent de la viande de synth\u00e8se (parfois de la \u00ab<em>true meat<\/em>\u00bb, mais c\u2019est rare\u2026), croulent sous les divertissements de \u00abl\u2019Unterhaltung Indus\u00bb et r\u00eavent de coloniser Mars. Seule une poign\u00e9e de privil\u00e9gi\u00e9s vit riche et prot\u00e9g\u00e9e dans des tours d\u2019ivoire, alors que la majorit\u00e9 de la population a de la peine \u00e0 joindre les deux bouts et, entre narcissisme social et m\u00e9docs\u2019, s\u2019effondre mentalement. Pour les retrait\u00e9s les plus chanceux, comme les parents de Marvel, reste la possibilit\u00e9 de s\u2019expatrier dans des \u00abgated communes\u00bb pour vivre leurs vieux jours en riches nantis ha\u00efs par les indig\u00e8nes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Le lecteur l\u2019aura compris, dans <em>Das Dunkle<\/em>, l\u2019espoir ne tient qu\u2019\u00e0 un fil; la dystopie propos\u00e9e par l\u2019\u00e9crivain est extr\u00eamement sombre. C\u2019est d\u2019ailleurs l\u00e0 que r\u00e9side son principal int\u00e9r\u00eat. En effet, l\u2019auteur ne propose ni trame narrative \u00e9poustouflante, ni un style digne de Flaubert. En revanche, il rend perceptible une atmosph\u00e8re: la fin du monde, l\u2019obscurit\u00e9, l\u2019incertitude du lendemain. Le titre fait sans doute r\u00e9f\u00e9rence aux nombreux \u00abblack-out\u00bb qui ont lieu au cours du r\u00e9cit, dont l\u2019un qui entra\u00eenera un chaos mondial et une lutte pour la survie. L\u2019effondrement est arriv\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"philosophie-et-crudites\"><strong>Philosophie et crudit\u00e9s<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u00abA cause du black-out, on apprend la news qu\u2019avec plusieurs heures de retard. Le traumatisme est plan\u00e9taire. L\u2019exp\u00e9dition martienne est un \u00e9chec. Le dro\u00efde vient d\u2019atterrir; il a envoy\u00e9 les premi\u00e8res s\u00e9quences. Elles sont terribles: les colons sont tous morts. [\u2026] Le choc est d\u2019autant plus violent que beaucoup de gens avaient plac\u00e9 des espoirs disproportionn\u00e9s dans le succ\u00e8s de cette premi\u00e8re implantation extra-terrestre. Mars, c\u2019\u00e9tait la perspective d\u2019un nouveau d\u00e9part, d\u2019un recommencement sur un monde neuf, vierge de pollutions et de souillures, libre d\u2019erreurs qui l\u00e0-bas ne seraient jamais commises.\u00bb<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Comme dans <em>Le Cr\u00e9puscule des hommes<\/em>, Philippe Testa \u2013 sous couvert de son narrateur \u2013 se livre \u00e0 des digressions philosophiques et critiques sur les modes de vie contemporains, notamment concernant l\u2019ali\u00e9nation provoqu\u00e9e par le mat\u00e9rialisme et la perte de sens. A ce propos, le texte est parsem\u00e9 d\u2019anglicismes (\u00abday off\u00bb, \u00abco-worker\u00bb, \u00absocials\u00bb, etc.) qui montrent que la langue du r\u00e9cit a \u00e9t\u00e9 standardis\u00e9e et d\u00e9truite par les g\u00e9ants mondiaux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le lecteur a toutefois de la peine \u00e0 se projeter dans l\u2019univers d\u00e9crit par l\u2019auteur, et ce en raison parfois du manque d\u2019informations sur la mani\u00e8re dont fonctionne la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9crite par le r\u00e9cit. C\u2019est l\u00e0 le point le plus difficile \u00e0 \u00e9laborer pour les auteurs de dystopie: donner les moyens au lecteur d\u2019entrer dans un univers qu\u2019il ne conna\u00eet pas tout en faisant en sorte que cela soit \u00abnaturel\u00bb et non artificiel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Le style de l\u2019\u00e9crivain, plut\u00f4t adepte des phrases longues et g\u00e9n\u00e9reux dans les d\u00e9tails, a le m\u00e9rite \u2013 ironique au vu du titre \u2013 de placer la lumi\u00e8re sur des \u00e9l\u00e9ments assez peu d\u00e9crits dans les dystopies: la survie de ces \u00abMonsieur-tout-le-monde\u00bb dans un monde en ruines. Ainsi, d\u2019une mani\u00e8re tr\u00e8s directe et crue, nous sont d\u00e9crites des sc\u00e8nes o\u00f9 Marvel et Pia, en bons survivants, se livrent \u00e0 des pratiques cannibales. Pour survivre. Ces moments richement d\u00e9crits provoquent une r\u00e9action \u00e9motive de la part du lecteur qui, entre d\u00e9go\u00fbt et curiosit\u00e9, ne peut s\u2019emp\u00eacher de penser que c\u2019est peut-\u00eatre ce futur-l\u00e0 qui attend notre esp\u00e8ce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u00abJe d\u00e9coupe ensuite des lani\u00e8res de viande que j\u2019enroule autour d\u2019une barre de fer. \u00c7a n\u2019est pas une r\u00e9ussite: par endroits, la chaire est carbonis\u00e9e, \u00e0 d\u2019autres pas assez cuite. Et c\u2019est sans compter les mouches que la viande rend folles et qui finissent sous mes dents, dans un dernier craquement de chitine. De toute fa\u00e7on, les exhausteurs masquent tout. Au final, le go\u00fbt est presque agr\u00e9able. Chose qui d\u2019ailleurs, malgr\u00e9 la fin du roman quelque peu clich\u00e9, nous le rend sympathique.
