Vous \u00eates une personne curieuse de comprendre les enjeux sociaux actuels en Alg\u00e9rie \u2013 le Hirak par exemple \u2013 et en France \u2013 au hasard, la fracture sociale \u2013 \u00e0 travers un autre regard? Vous risquez d\u2019\u00eatre frustr\u00e9s, comme je l\u2019ai \u00e9t\u00e9. Dommage.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more Lire la recension (en libre acc\u00e8s)-->\n\n\n\n<p><em>Un r\u00eave, deux rives <\/em>traite de l\u2019Alg\u00e9rie et du rapport que la narratrice, Nadia \u2013 l\u2019auteure du texte \u2013 entretient avec ce pays. Nadia vit dans un HLM en banlieue parisienne, avec son p\u00e8re Ahmed, sa m\u00e8re \u2013 l\u2019une des quatre \u00e9pouses ou concubines successives qu\u2019aura le patriarche durant sa vie \u2013 et les quelques fr\u00e8res et s\u0153urs encore en \u00e2ge d\u2019habiter \u00e0 la maison. Au travers de souvenirs choisis, Nadia d\u00e9peint son quotidien entre la petite fille qu\u2019elle \u00e9tait et la journaliste qu\u2019elle est devenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Des langues qui se d\u00e9lient<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Tr\u00e8s vite, la narratrice \u00e9voque le Hirak, ce mouvement populaire alg\u00e9rien d\u00e9clench\u00e9 en 2019 pour protester contre la candidature \u00e0 un cinqui\u00e8me mandat du pr\u00e9sident Abdelaziz Bouteflika, d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 le 17 septembre dernier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u00abL\u2019\u00e9mergence du Hirak, ce soir d\u2019hiver, a \u00e9t\u00e9 pour moi l\u2019affranchissement de la peur. La fin de toute cette haine qui, des caf\u00e9s du centre d\u2019Alger au HLM de banlieue, sourd contre le pouvoir invisible et surplombant des g\u00e9n\u00e9raux. Contre cette clique qui a monnay\u00e9 la paix contre l\u2019oppression, en ne laissant aux Alg\u00e9riens que le nationalisme folklorique et cathartique du drapeaux vert et blanc brandi partout, \u00e0 tout occasion.\u00bb<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Si la pand\u00e9mie a peu \u00e0 peu \u00e9touff\u00e9 ce mouvement (en tous cas m\u00e9diatiquement), la mobilisation aura lib\u00e9r\u00e9 toute une partie de la population. Comme le dit l\u2019auteure, c\u2019est une peur qui s\u2019en va. Elle-m\u00eame n\u2019a v\u00e9cu l\u2019Alg\u00e9rie que depuis son HLM parisien, mais cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement, bien que racont\u00e9 en \u00e0 peine quelques paragraphes, semble \u00eatre le point de d\u00e9part du r\u00e9cit: comme si ce mouvement lui donnait la libert\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9crire sur l\u2019Alg\u00e9rie et de se replonger dans son pass\u00e9. Ou plut\u00f4t celui de son p\u00e8re, Ahmed, arriv\u00e9 en m\u00e9tropole en 1948. Un pass\u00e9 que, peu \u00e0 peu, l\u2019on d\u00e9couvre politique. Tr\u00e8s politique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Trente ans apr\u00e8s, une guerre toujours invisible<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Nadia se permet donc de raconter son enfance. L\u2019un de ses souvenirs, qui r\u00e9v\u00e8le l\u00e0 aussi le fond historico-politique du r\u00e9cit, est le d\u00e9part de l\u2019un de ses fr\u00e8res pour son service militaire fran\u00e7ais en Alg\u00e9rie \u00e0 la fin des ann\u00e9es 80. Pour qui conna\u00eet l\u2019histoire du pays, cette p\u00e9riode marque le d\u00e9but de ce que l\u2019on a appel\u00e9 la \u00abd\u00e9cennie noire\u00bb. L\u2019auteure aurait pu profiter de ce fr\u00e8re au pays pour d\u00e9cortiquer ces ann\u00e9es particuli\u00e8rement lourdes. Il n\u2019en est malheureusement rien. Ou tr\u00e8s peu. Est-ce encore de l\u2019histoire trop r\u00e9cente pour oser raconter? Est-ce trop t\u00f4t? Tout comme Alice Zeniter dans <em>Die Kunst zu verlieren<\/em> (roman prim\u00e9 et en de nombreux points similaire au pr\u00e9sent ouvrage), Nadia Henni-Moula\u00ef a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de survoler ce moment de l\u2019histoire. La difficult\u00e9 de raconter cette p\u00e9riode, a fortiori pour des filles d\u2019immigr\u00e9s alg\u00e9riens, en France au moment au moment des faits, semble insurmontable. Esp\u00e9rons que les enfants du Hirak puissent s\u2019y plonger \u00e0 l\u2019avenir plus librement. Des \u00e9l\u00e9ments r\u00e9p\u00e9t\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019envie. Comme un refrain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Du sang, des os et de la chair<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>J\u2019ai tendance \u00e0 penser que pour qu\u2019un roman soit bon, il lui faut un squelette solide, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire une trame de r\u00e9cit robuste. J\u2019aime \u00e9galement que le sang qui coule entre les lignes de l\u2019histoire ait une morale et surtout un fond politique. Et pour finir, pour que le roman soit r\u00e9ellement un roman et non une livre d\u2019histoire g\u00e9opolitique, il lui faut de la chair, quelque chose qui enrobe: des \u00e9motions, celles des personnages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Un r\u00eave, deux rives<\/em> a tout cela. Et pourtant, l\u2019ossature dessine une l\u00e9g\u00e8re scoliose. L\u2019histoire que l\u2019auteure raconte volontairement sans ligne chronologique pure passe d\u2019un \u00e9l\u00e9ment \u00e0 un autre et saute les d\u00e9cennies, en avant comme en arri\u00e8re. Un choix narratif qui permet d\u2019\u00e9luder des questions, pour y revenir plus tard. Un zigzag qui complique malgr\u00e9 tout la lecture et fragilise la colonne du r\u00e9cit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Quant \u00e0 la chair du r\u00e9cit, l\u2019emballage, le paquet cadeau? La ganache est abondante. Trop abondante: elle emp\u00eache le corps de se d\u00e9placer avec aisance. Si la doudoune permet de tenir au chaud le r\u00e9cit politique, dans ce cas, il dilue le fond. Et fr\u00f4le le sentimentalisme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Malheureusement pour Nadia Henni-Moula\u00ef, les r\u00e9cits d\u2019Alg\u00e9riens (Alg\u00e9riennes) racont\u00e9s depuis la France, les quotidiens de \u00abpetites beurettes\u00bb de HLM et les traumatismes de la guerre d\u2019ind\u00e9pendance sur plusieurs g\u00e9n\u00e9rations constituent du d\u00e9j\u00e0-vu. Les promesses faites \u00e0 demi-mot au d\u00e9but du roman laissent donc un petit go\u00fbt d\u2019inachev\u00e9. En 2021, alors que les tensions sociales de part et d\u2019autre de la M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e sont vives et que la France se pr\u00e9pare \u00e0 nouveau \u00e0 voter, on en aurait peut-\u00eatre
