Pourtant \u00e2g\u00e9 de 96 ans, il revient aujourd\u2019hui avec une nouvelle proposition sc\u00e9nique brillante qui prend cette fois une forme plus exp\u00e9rimentale, celle d\u2019un spectacle cr\u00e9\u00e9 \u00e0 partir d\u2019une <em>recherche<\/em> autour de la pi\u00e8ce. Librement adapt\u00e9 de l\u2019\u0153uvre initiale avec la collaboration de Marie-H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Estienne, le texte, s\u2019il est r\u00e9duit \u00e0 1h15 de repr\u00e9sentation, reste n\u00e9anmoins au centre du travail et ne perd aucunement la valeur po\u00e9tique propre \u00e0 William Shakespeare.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more Lire l\u2019article (en libre acc\u00e8s)-->\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abShakespeare, c\u2019est in\u00e9puisable\u00bb, explique Brook lors de l\u2019entretien avec le public \u00e0 l\u2019issue de la premi\u00e8re du spectacle. Toujours plus curieux des myst\u00e8res shakespeariens, l\u2019auteur de <em>L\u2019Espace vide<\/em> ou de <em>Points de Suspension<\/em> demeure fid\u00e8le \u00e0 sa patte artistique: celle d\u2019un th\u00e9\u00e2tre o\u00f9 le plateau est quasi nu, laissant ainsi la place \u00e0 la saveur originelle du texte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette qu\u00eate de la sobri\u00e9t\u00e9 est tr\u00e8s justement servie par les com\u00e9diens, qui ont le don de donner vie aux mots et de semer la graine de leur imaginaire dans celle des spectateurs. La gr\u00e2ce a\u00e9rienne de la jeune Paula Luna (Miranda), le charisme envo\u00fbtant d\u2019Ery Nzaramba (Prospero), la vivacit\u00e9 hilarante de Fabio et Luca Maniglio, l\u2019incroyable adaptabilit\u00e9 de Sylvain Levitte (tant\u00f4t dans le r\u00f4le de Caliban, tant\u00f4t dans celui de Ferdinand) et l\u2019\u00e9nergie succulente de Maril\u00f9 Marini (incarnant Ariel) constituent pour ainsi dire un parfait sextuor dont les vibrations s\u2019accordent \u00e0 merveille et dont la complicit\u00e9 parvient \u00e0 nos sens d\u00e8s leur entr\u00e9e sur sc\u00e8ne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9coute, paradigme absolu de l\u2019art th\u00e9\u00e2tral selon le metteur en sc\u00e8ne britannique, existe ici gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la triple conjonction entre silence, exp\u00e9rience de la parole et conscience des autres. La sobri\u00e9t\u00e9 du jeu et la capacit\u00e9 des acteurs \u00e0 \u00eatre \u00abau pr\u00e9sent\u00bb, r\u00e9actifs \u00e0 leur environnement, cr\u00e9ent un lien fort entre la fiction et le public. De fait, on ne d\u00e9croche pas une seule seconde de ce qui a lieu sur sc\u00e8ne. Si le silence est ma\u00eetre du jeu sur le plateau, il r\u00e8gne aussi dans la salle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Un \u00abth\u00e9\u00e2tre du peu<\/strong>\u00bb<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>On retrouve aussi avec plaisir le fameux \u00abexercice de la corde\u00bb de Brook, r\u00e9adapt\u00e9 aux circonstances dramaturgiques: Miranda (Paula Luna) et Ferdinand (Sylvain Levitte), les deux jeunes amants de l\u2019\u00eele, forment \u00e0 l\u2019aide de tr\u00e8s fins b\u00e2tons une ligne sur laquelle ils marchent l\u2019un vers l\u2019autre, avec un b\u00e2ton en \u00e9quilibre sur sa t\u00eate. Une belle m\u00e9taphore de la reconnaissance des \u00e2mes. Les \u00e9clairages de Philippe Vialatte, indissociables de l\u2019univers sonore, valorisent avec subtilit\u00e9 la palette humaine que constituent les personnages de <em>La Temp\u00eate<\/em>: ainsi s\u2019agencent avec harmonie le pivot comique que constitue le duo de Trinculo et Stephano (les fr\u00e8res Maniglio), la l\u00e9g\u00e8ret\u00e9 de la jeune Miranda ou encore la malice d\u2019Ariel, l\u2019esprit agissant au service de Prospero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Cela \u00e9tant, Peter Brook insiste sur la complexit\u00e9 interne \u00e0 chacun. Et sur le fait que, selon lui, Shakespeare n\u2019a jamais de parti pris. Une interpr\u00e9tation qui explique la multiplicit\u00e9 de versions de ses pi\u00e8ces et d\u2019interpr\u00e9tations de ses personnages. C\u2019est d\u2019ailleurs l\u2019un des points qui relient Brookl \u00e0 Shakespeare: \u00abon est tous de la m\u00eame \u00e9toffe\u00bb, comme le premier l\u2019a confi\u00e9. Peter Brook, c\u2019est pour ainsi dire l\u2019\u00e9ternel optimiste en la fraternit\u00e9.
