Un soir, dans son ranch recul\u00e9 de Californie, son cheval panique et s\u2019enfuit. Dans le ciel, il semble&nbsp;apercevoir une forme \u00e9trange. Accompagn\u00e9 de sa s\u0153ur, \u00abEm\u00bb (Keke Palmer), il tentera alors d\u2019obtenir une image de ce myst\u00e9rieux objet volant non identifi\u00e9. Un objectif difficile qui m\u00e8nera les personnages \u00e0 courir tous les dangers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/leregardlibre.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Nope_1-\u00a9-Universal-Studios.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/leregardlibre.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Nope_1-\u00a9-Universal-Studios-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-50551\" width=\"800\" height=\"583\"\/><\/a><figcaption>Daniel Kaluuya dans le r\u00f4le d\u2019Otis James Haywood<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Une \u00e9criture forc\u00e9e<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Jordan Peele incarne cette g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de cin\u00e9astes abordant le cin\u00e9ma de genre pour renouveler les propos traditionnellement port\u00e9s. Car oui, depuis sa cr\u00e9ation, le cin\u00e9ma de genre a su coupler ses codes avec ses discours. Le western en est l\u2019illustration la plus directe, en construisant l\u2019image du cowboy viril et libertaire comme mod\u00e8le de l\u2019individualisme, qui prot\u00e8ge souvent la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 plus qu\u2019elle ne le prot\u00e8ge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La science-fiction a illustr\u00e9 les peurs de l\u2019Am\u00e9rique durant une bonne partie de la guerre froide (<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0077745\/\">L\u2019Invasion des profanateurs de s\u00e9pultures<\/a><\/em>, 1956), avant d\u2019en d\u00e9tourner les codes pour interroger non sans ironie les aspects les plus discutables des citoyens am\u00e9ricains (<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0116996\/\">Mars Attacks!<\/a><\/em>, 1996 ou <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0120201\/\">Starship Troopers<\/a><\/em>, 1997). Mais bien que la question identitaire ait \u00e9t\u00e9 au centre des deux premiers longs-m\u00e9trages de Jordan Peele, il n\u2019a pas emprunt\u00e9 cette voie cette fois-ci.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A la place de cela, le film se propose comme une parabole autour du spectacle. Si l\u2019intention y est, le r\u00e9sultat est bien plus compliqu\u00e9 \u00e0 obtenir&#8230; Tiraill\u00e9 entre une science-fiction plus intimiste, le western o\u00f9 l&#8217;on en a d\u00e9construit les l\u00e9gendes, et l\u2019horreur pour grand public qui n\u00e9cessite la pudeur, le r\u00e9cit peine \u00e0 effectuer le croisement et le discours en p\u00e2tit s\u00e9v\u00e8rement. L\u2019effort est si laborieux qu\u2019il d\u00e9bouche sur le principal probl\u00e8me: l\u2019ironie est trop discr\u00e8te. Le film ressemble ainsi dans son r\u00e9cit \u00e0 la plupart des films de science-fiction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lesen Sie auch | <a href=\"https:\/\/leregardlibre.com\/de\/kino\/villeneuve-rehabilitiert-lynchs-scheitern\/\">Dune: Villeneuve r\u00e9habilitera-t-il l\u2019\u00e9chec de Lynch?<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour ce qui est de son th\u00e8me, <em>Nope<\/em> s\u2019inscrit dans la continuit\u00e9 de la saga <em>Jurassic World<\/em>, qui a port\u00e9 le m\u00eame discours et qui est tomb\u00e9e dans les m\u00eames travers. Il nous faudra encore attendre pour voir un cin\u00e9aste oser une v\u00e9ritable remise en question du spectaculaire sans en appliquer les codes au premier degr\u00e9. En attendant, nous retrouvons une \u0153uvre tr\u00e8s classique, avec un d\u00e9coupage sans surprises et un peu long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/leregardlibre.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Nope_2-\u00a9-Universal-Studios-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-50553\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\"\/><figcaption>Jordan Peele, r\u00e9alisateur de <em>Nope<\/em> (2022)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Une nouvelle \u00e9toile qui nous \u00e9blouira longtemps<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9criture n\u2019est pas la principale qualit\u00e9 de Jordan Peele. Il est d\u2019ailleurs dommage que <em>Get Out<\/em> ait re\u00e7u l\u2019Oscar du meilleur sc\u00e9nario\u2013  cette faute ne fera que repousser la remise en question de son auteur. Malgr\u00e9 ces quelques boutades, nous devons reconna\u00eetre que Jordan Peele excelle dans un autre domaine: la mise en sc\u00e8ne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En effet, la force principale de <em>Nope<\/em> est la capacit\u00e9 de son r\u00e9alisateur \u00e0 toujours savoir o\u00f9 poser sa cam\u00e9ra. Loin de se plonger dans un style, celui-ci varie, rendant de longs plans fixes aussi angoissants que certaines actions accompagn\u00e9es par une cam\u00e9ra au poing. De plus, le travail de la profondeur de champ au milieu de ces larges espaces vides offre son lot d\u2019images aussi propres que novatrices. Nous savons toujours o\u00f9 se situe chaque personnage et toute action est non seulement visible, mais esth\u00e9tiquement bluffante. Jamais le ciel n\u2019aura \u00e9t\u00e9 film\u00e9 ainsi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Un film sur les outils du spectacle<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Plus qu\u2019un film sur le spectacle, <em>Nope<\/em> est un film sur les outils du spectacle. En ce sens, il est passionnant de voir que d\u00e8s la premi\u00e8re s\u00e9quence, le r\u00e9alisateur claque la porte au fond vert et privil\u00e9gie un tournage en d\u00e9cor r\u00e9el. Un retour \u00e0 la nature \u00e9trangement r\u00e9actionnaire (d\u2019o\u00f9 la pr\u00e9sence du western), qui nous montre dans le m\u00eame temps que le spectaculaire peut se d\u00e9gager d\u2019autre chose que d\u2019un fond vert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seule ombre au tableau: le surplus de travail r\u00e9alis\u00e9 en post-production fait dispara\u00eetre l\u2019authenticit\u00e9 des d\u00e9cors. A trop ajouter de lumi\u00e8res artificielles, de sable, de couleurs \u00e0 ce ciel sombre, le naturel est \u00e9clips\u00e9. Un comble pour un film cherchant \u00e0 faire l\u2019apologie de cette force de la nature!
