Sur cette base simpliste, le film tente de complexifier son intrigue \u00e0 grands coups d\u2019interventionnisme maladroit des forces occidentales, de flashbacks artificiels et de plagiat de <em>Terminator 2<\/em> \u00e0 base d\u2019amiti\u00e9 bizarre entre le h\u00e9ros et un enfant.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Une accumulation de d\u00e9fauts<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Commen\u00e7ons par le plus flagrant: le film est laid. L\u2019image oscille entre le trop sombre, le trop clair et le trop terne. Mais plus encore, ce sont les incrustations qui \u00e9corchent les yeux. Les personnages semblent souvent avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 ajout\u00e9s trop vite dans un d\u00e9cor num\u00e9rique artificiel. Les fronti\u00e8res entre le personnage et l\u2019univers num\u00e9rique sont parfois hallucinantes, tant aucun effort n\u2019est fait pour les dissimuler. Trop peu d\u2019effets num\u00e9riques s\u2019av\u00e8rent aboutis; la plupart offrent une bouillie d\u2019informations approximatives \u00e0 l\u2019\u0153il du spectateur. Et ne parlons m\u00eame pas de la direction artistique avec des d\u00e9mons ridiculement anim\u00e9s, des d\u00e9cors sans imagination et un antagoniste final rendant hommage \u00e0 Luis Bu\u00f1uel tant il donne envie de s\u2019ouvrir les yeux au scalpel.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mais le film propose une solution pour rem\u00e9dier \u00e0 cela : comment se rendre compte que ces plans sont affreux s\u2019ils ne durent pas plus d\u2019une seconde? Une solution qui ne permet pourtant pas de masquer les fautes de go\u00fbt, puisque de trop nombreuses exceptions \u00e0 cette r\u00e8gle s\u2019imposent sous forme de ralentis qui pars\u00e8ment le long-m\u00e9trage. Tout doit aller vite pour aboutir \u00e0 quelques sc\u00e8nes de combat accompagn\u00e9es de musiques indigestes qui font r\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00e0 un DJ sous substances, sautant d\u2019un morceau \u00e0 l\u2019autre dans le seul but de faire de disgracieux clins d\u2019\u0153il \u00e0 son public, comme pour diffuser tout son catalogue en deux maigres heures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La cerise sur le g\u00e2teau consiste sans doute dans les deux seuls moments o\u00f9 les sc\u00e9naristes se croient audacieux en proposant une critique de la politique \u00e9trang\u00e8re am\u00e9ricaine et plus largement occidentale. Une premi\u00e8re fois, les super-h\u00e9ros am\u00e9ricains se voient reprocher le fait de ne pas \u00eatre intervenus plus t\u00f4t. Une seconde fois, on leur demande de se tenir \u00e9loign\u00e9s du pays. Dans sa volont\u00e9 critique d\u2019adolescent, le film r\u00e9ussit ainsi l\u2019exploit de se contredire tout seul. Seul point positif au long-m\u00e9trage, un Dwayne Johnson dont le jeu correspond tr\u00e8s bien au personnage incarn\u00e9.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>L\u2019impasse du blockbuster<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Black Adam<\/em> n\u2019est pas seulement au bout d\u2019une impasse artistique comme industrielle. Il s\u2019emploie \u00e0 tenter d\u2019en sortir en traversant le mur qui lui fait face. C\u2019est le constat d\u2019une industrie tournant \u00e0 vide, produisant \u00e9ternellement les m\u00eames copies dont on ne change que quelques nuances sans jamais revoir la formule de base. Mais que cherche encore le public qui remplira les salles de ce film?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019offre du blockbuster repose \u00e0 l\u2019origine sur le spectaculaire. On veut voir de l\u2019action, des affrontements impressionnants, des d\u00e9cors majestueux, des \u00e9motions intenses. Le blockbuster est un cin\u00e9ma de l\u2019hyperbole. En ce sens, ce type de films n\u00e9cessite un temps et des comp\u00e9tences pour assurer une forme et un ton susceptibles de faire frissonner le spectateur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Black Adam<\/em>, dans la lign\u00e9e de la plupart des films de super-h\u00e9ros, contredit aujourd\u2019hui ce principe. Le spectaculaire est sacrifi\u00e9 au profit d\u2019un agenda b\u00e2cl\u00e9. Lequel ne laisse aucun temps pour un traitement complet des effets num\u00e9riques. De m\u00eame, la pauvret\u00e9 des protagonistes montre bien l\u2019impasse que le blockbuster a rencontr\u00e9e. La dimension s\u00e9rielle de ces films a d\u00e9plac\u00e9 le pacte pass\u00e9 avec le spectateur: on ne vient plus rechercher des frissons, on vient seulement mettre nos connaissances \u00e0 jour en attendant le prochain grand rendez-vous qui r\u00e9unira tous ces personnages.
