Michi, une vieille femme licenci\u00e9e, Hiromu, employ\u00e9 atone du programme et Maria, \u00e9migr\u00e9e philippine travaillant dans les soins, \u00e9voluent dans cette \u00e9poque o\u00f9 le rapport \u00e0 la mort est repens\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Silence, s\u2019il vous pla\u00eet!<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>D\u00e8s les premi\u00e8res minutes du film, des\u00a0interrogations \u00e9mergent\u00a0autour de la probl\u00e9matique du suicide assist\u00e9. Le discours de Chie Hayakawa\u00a0interpelle; m\u00e9prise-t-elle l\u2019euthanasie ou la consid\u00e8re-t-elle comme une solution\u00a0tol\u00e9rable? Les images \u00e0 la composition travaill\u00e9e\u00a0d\u00e9filent, l\u2019intrigue avance \u2013 lentement \u2013 et le public saisit le\u00a0v\u00e9ritable\u00a0reproche\u00a0dissimul\u00e9 derri\u00e8re le th\u00e8me de la mort: en abordant le th\u00e8me universel de la vieillesse sans moralisme, la r\u00e9alisatrice pointe du doigt un syst\u00e8me\u00a0qui n\u00e9glige le soutien aux personnes socialement vuln\u00e9rables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019histoire&nbsp;s\u2019ancre dans un Japon parall\u00e8le, sans \u00eatre futuriste: le Japon de demain, traitant de questions sociales. C\u2019est pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment l\u2019intention \u00e0 l\u2019origine de l\u2019anthologie produite en 2018 par&nbsp;Kore-eda Hirokazu, <em>J\u00fb-nen: Ten Years Japan<\/em>, qui regroupe cinq courts-m\u00e9trages qui visent \u00e0 examiner des th\u00e8mes universels, mais aussi sp\u00e9cifiques \u00e0 ce pays asiatique. Le plus connu, <em>PLAN75<\/em>, n\u2019est autre que la version courte du long-m\u00e9trage, focalis\u00e9e sur un seul personnage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A l\u2019\u00e9cran, la repr\u00e9sentation de la mort est souvent hors champ ou\u00a0fragment\u00e9e.\u00a0Le spectateur sait qu\u2019elle est in\u00e9vitable,\u00a0elle le surprend tr\u00e8s peu \u2013 les individus ont soit une sant\u00e9 fragile d\u00fb \u00e0 leur \u00e2ge, soit\u00a0ont d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de s\u2019inscrire au Plan 75. On retient surtout que cette mort est silencieuse, extr\u00eamement solitaire et d\u00e9nu\u00e9e d\u2019\u00e9motion.\u00a0Par des hors-champs et\u00a0une apparente absence d\u2019empathie\u00a0des protagonistes plus jeunes, Chie Hayakawa\u00a0transmet\u00a0la distanciation de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9\u00a0par rapport \u00e0\u00a0ses\u00a0seniors, consid\u00e9r\u00e9s comme inutiles, ce qui fait grandir en eux un\u00a0fort sentiment de honte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">L\u2019espoir, au-del\u00e0 de la mort<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019isolement et la discr\u00e9tion impos\u00e9e des\u00a0a\u00een\u00e9s apparaissent de mani\u00e8re limpide. Plan 75 se d\u00e9tache de toute extravagance; peu de musique, peu de mouvements cam\u00e9ra, une majorit\u00e9 de plans fixes et une certaine centralit\u00e9 des personnages au sein du plan, r\u00e9v\u00e9lant \u00e0 la fois leur singularit\u00e9 et leur exclusion. Une sc\u00e8ne du quotidien de Michi (Chieko Baisho) illustre cette solitude. Alors qu\u2019elle tente de contacter son amie Ineko (Hisako Ohkata) \u2013 sans succ\u00e8s puisqu\u2019elle tombe sur son r\u00e9pondeur \u2013 la cam\u00e9ra se concentre sur son visage de profil, la t\u00eate l\u00e9g\u00e8rement baiss\u00e9e et l\u2019\u00e9chine courb\u00e9e. La profondeur de champ est faible, rendant l\u2019appartement de la vieille femme compl\u00e8tement flou \u00e0 l\u2019arri\u00e8re-plan, ce qui souligne l\u2019absence de perspective pour Michi. Alors que son visage est au centre du plan, au centre de l\u2019histoire, le spectateur comprend qu\u2019elle \u00e9volue seule et avec difficult\u00e9 dans son espace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En ce sens, Michi se meut principalement dans des espaces clos et exigus, emprisonn\u00e9e aussi bien physiquement que socialement.&nbsp;Cette vision du Japon, que la r\u00e9alisatrice admet tristement \u00eatre&nbsp;repr\u00e9sentative de la r\u00e9alit\u00e9, rompt avec la tradition des films de famille japonais des ann\u00e9es 1950.
