\u00abNoch herrscht eine gewisse Verwirrung, aber noch ein wenig Zeit, und alles wird sich aufkl\u00e4ren; wir werden endlich das Wunder einer tierischen Gesellschaft sehen, einen perfekten und endg\u00fcltigen Ameisenstaat.\u00bb<\/p>\nPaul Val\u00e9ry, Die Krise des Geistes<\/em> (1919)<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Es stellt sich die Frage, ob alle j\u00fcngsten Liberalisierungen, alle technologischen Fortschritte, kurzum alles, was darauf abzielte, dem Menschen seine Freiheit und W\u00fcrde zur\u00fcckzugeben, nicht dazu gedient haben, ihn zu dem Ding, vielleicht zu dem Tier zu machen, das er so sehr f\u00fcrchtete, zu werden. \u00abNichts wird mehr geschehen, wenn sich nicht die ganze Welt einmischt\u00bb, prophezeite Val\u00e9ry noch am Ende des Zweiten Weltkriegs. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter und Co. sind die Garanten f\u00fcr diese allgemeine Nabelschau: Ich auf den Bergen. Ich betrinke mich. Ich helfe den Armen. Die N\u00e4chstenliebe selbst ist nur noch ein Karneval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Besessenheit, von allen gesehen zu werden, und noch schlimmer die Besessenheit, von allen geliebt zu werden, ist die wahre Prostitution unserer Zeit. Der Klassenkamerad wird nur noch als ein St\u00fcck Vieh in einer Herde betrachtet, die man Tag f\u00fcr Tag geduldig aufbauen muss. Was f\u00fcr eine gro\u00dfe T\u00e4uschung ist die Freundschaft! Was f\u00fcr eine T\u00e4uschung ist der Austausch, das wohlwollende L\u00e4cheln, der t\u00e4gliche offene H\u00e4ndedruck. Gegen\u00fcber dem Rudel ist der \u00abKumpel\u00bb nur ein St\u00fcck Fleisch. Man ist erste oder zweite Wahl, je nachdem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dieses Ph\u00e4nomen ist im Wallis umso sichtbarer, als wir ein Volk von Bauern sind, die nicht gerade f\u00fcr ihr Savoir-vivre bekannt sind; das ist allgemein bekannt. Die Vorteile einer Rousseauschen, naturnahen und tierfreundlichen Erziehung. Wie sch\u00f6n ist es doch, wenn die Kinder beim Aprikosen- und Spargelstechen von selbst aufbl\u00fchen. Warum sollte es auch anders sein? Im Grunde sind wir doch alle nur ein Rudel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
