But he's not the first choice, and the hour is grave: Europe is at war. It was a metamorphosed Gary Oldman who had the demanding but highly successful task of taking on the role of the indomitable and determined Churchill. <\/strong><strong>The actor pays an unimaginable tribute to this strong, but at the same time, important figure. <\/strong><strong>in moments of weakness and vulnerability, which the film brilliantly portrays.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Indeed, director Joe Wright insists that Churchill is also a man who stands alone in his ideas and actions. No one supports him in early May 1940. These dark hours are aesthetically present, with most of the political scenes taking place indoors, in dimly lit, narrow rooms. On the private side, Churchill finds himself in large spaces with high windows that generously let the sun shine on the faces of those close to him.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>L\u2019orateur britannique<\/h3>\n<p>Les discours sont produits \u00e0 n\u2019importe quel instant de la journ\u00e9e\u00a0; Mme Layton doit toujours se trouver aupr\u00e8s du Premier Ministre, car elle lui permet d\u2019ancrer ses paroles et donc d\u2019appliquer ses d\u00e9cisions. Cependant, ses mots ne plaisent pas aux hommes du parti conservateur, car pour Churchill c\u2019est \u00ab\u00a0la victoire, la victoire \u00e0 n\u2019importe quel prix (\u2026)\u00a0\u00bb et il n\u2019est donc pas question de n\u00e9gocier avec l\u2019ennemi.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><em>Dark Hours<\/em><\/strong><strong>, <em>Dunkerque<\/em> and <em>Churchill<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Force est de constater \u00e9galement que des connections apparaissent entre le film en question et <em>Dunkerque<\/em> de Christopher Nolan. En effet, les deux longs-m\u00e9trages se r\u00e9pondent\u00a0: d\u2019un c\u00f4t\u00e9, Churchill qui donne les ordres par t\u00e9l\u00e9grammes, et de l\u2019autre, les soldats qui les ex\u00e9cutent dans la peur et l\u2019incertitude de ne pas revoir leur pays un jour. La Manche s\u00e9pare les politiques des militaires, deux entit\u00e9s qui ne se c\u00f4toient pas, mais qui d\u00e9pendent l\u2019une de l\u2019autre si elles veulent que le Royaume-Uni soit \u00e9pargn\u00e9 de la tyrannie.<\/p>\n<p><em>Dark Hours <\/em>fait partie de cette mouvance de la m\u00e9moire, de m\u00eame que <em>Churchill<\/em> sorti en mai dernier, mais il ne raconte pas uniquement des faits historiques. Ce film se concentre effectivement sur des moments courts et intenses qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9terminants pour l\u2019avenir. Toutefois, les efforts ne tombent pas du ciel et exigent l\u2019engagement de chacun.
