Musumeci<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00abWhat if it's a hoax, Mr. Panahi?\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>An amateur video is addressed to actress Behnaz Jafari, in her own role. \u00abHello Madame Jafari, I'm Marziyeh\u00bb, greets the young girl, who films herself in <em>selfie<\/em>. She then gravely announces that she is about to commit suicide because her family is preventing her from becoming an actress. The one who, it turns out, <em>is<\/em> The actress receives these images and panics. She feels responsible, even more so if Marziyeh really did kill herself. So she and director Jafar Panahi, also in his own role, set off to find out for themselves.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Une fois sur place, le village de la zone montagneuse du Nord-Ouest iranien leur r\u00e9serve un accueil mitig\u00e9. Les deux m\u00e8nent l\u2019enqu\u00eate et rencontre villageois, familles, enfants susceptibles de leur fournir des informations sur l\u2019adolescente. Effectivement, elle a disparu depuis trois jours. Angoisse accrue pour Behnaz Jafari. Les deux d\u00e9couvrent cependant bien plus que ce qu\u2019ils attendent. Ils font la connaissance d\u2019une culture, d\u2019une philosophie et d\u2019une mentalit\u00e9 et de tant d\u2019autres richesses.<\/p>\n<h3>Une affiche qui en dit long<\/h3>\n<p>Les affiches ne sont pas toujours \u00e0 la hauteur des films qu\u2019elles annoncent. <em>Trois visages\u00a0<\/em>est un grand film\u00a0; <em>Trois visages\u00a0<\/em>est un beau film. De plus, il est r\u00e9alis\u00e9 par l\u2019un des plus fameux noms de la nouvelle vague iranienne et du cin\u00e9ma contemporain \u00e0 l\u2019international. Jafar Panahi fait autorit\u00e9 par son statut d\u2019assign\u00e9 \u00e0 r\u00e9sidence. Il est respect\u00e9 entre autres raisons plus importantes parce qu\u2019il est interdit de r\u00e9alisation \u2013 censure cependant contourn\u00e9e puisqu\u2019il y a film. C\u2019est son nom qui fait le succ\u00e8s et la notori\u00e9t\u00e9 du film, mais en tout cas pas son affiche. Plut\u00f4t de mauvais go\u00fbt, elle se pr\u00e9sente dans un style de dessin pop art adouci.<\/p>\n<p>Pourtant, m\u00eame si elle n\u2019est pas forc\u00e9ment plaisante \u00e0 voir au premier regard, elle a du sens et porte des significations fort int\u00e9ressantes. Premi\u00e8rement, elle s\u2019inscrit \u00e0 la suite de <em>Taxi T\u00e9h\u00e9ran\u00a0<\/em>and <em>Ceci n\u2019est pas un film<\/em>, dont les affiches sont aussi des dessins du m\u00eame type, surtout celle de <em>Taxi T\u00e9h\u00e9ran<\/em>. Deuxi\u00e8mement, elle laisse entendre la censure faite au film. D\u2019ailleurs, les autres longs-m\u00e9trages \u00e0 peine \u00e9voqu\u00e9s ont eux aussi \u00e9t\u00e9 tourn\u00e9s sous la censure. On imagine ainsi que pour \u00e9viter un plateau d\u00e9di\u00e9 \u00e0 la photo servant \u00e0 l\u2019affiche, le r\u00e9alisateur ait choisi l\u2019option du dessin.<\/p>\n<p>Troisi\u00e8mement, l\u2019hypoth\u00e8se d\u2019un hommage \u00e0 la bande dessin\u00e9e <em>Persepolis\u00a0<\/em>de l\u2019Iranienne Marjane Satrapi, qui est aussi tr\u00e8s critique \u00e0 l\u2019endroit de la R\u00e9publique islamique d\u2019Iran. Avec leurs assimilations de plages unicolores, leurs contours au feutre noir et la rondeur des traits, les dessins se ressemblent. Th\u00e8se d\u2019autant plus probable que la b\u00e9d\u00e9iste traite dans son \u0153uvre des sujets chers \u00e0 Panahi et vice-versa.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-16499 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/leregardlibre.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Trois-visages-Affiche-\u00a9-Filmcoopi-1.jpg\" alt=\"Trois visages - Affiche - \u00a9 Filmcoopi\" width=\"335\" height=\"478\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>La puret\u00e9 de l\u2019image clandestine<\/h3>\n<p>L\u2019esth\u00e9tique de la photographie est bien plus remarquable et appr\u00e9ciable que celle de l\u2019affiche. Bien que les moyens techniques soient restreints \u00e0 cause de la clandestinit\u00e9, le r\u00e9alisateur r\u00e9ussit \u00e0 inscrire sa griffe \u00e0 l\u2019image. De nombreux plans dans la jeep de Panahi font \u00e9videmment penser, l\u00e0 encore, \u00e0 son dernier film <em>Taxi T\u00e9h\u00e9ran\u00a0<\/em>(2015), tourn\u00e9 dans un taxi parcourant la capitale. Laissons n\u00e9anmoins ces r\u00e9f\u00e9rences de c\u00f4t\u00e9 pour nous reconcentrer sur la photographie.<\/p>\n<p>Si cela ne tenait qu\u2019\u00e0 la puret\u00e9 de l\u2019image, rien ne laisserait penser \u00e0 un film clandestin. Malgr\u00e9 l\u2019espace restreint d\u2019une auto, la cam\u00e9ra r\u00e9ussit \u00e0 donner de la profondeur aux plans sur le visage de Behnaz Jafari en voyage pour le village durant la nuit. Il y a en outre un jeu tr\u00e8s habile avec l\u2019espace qu\u2019occupe le visage sur l\u2019\u00e9cran dans une proportion d\u2019un tiers. Puis, le jeu de lumi\u00e8re avec les r\u00e9verb\u00e8res sur la route et les phares des autres v\u00e9hicules ainsi que la lumi\u00e8re du t\u00e9l\u00e9phone portable que tient l\u2019actrice en mains. Elle regarde effectivement en boucle la vid\u00e9o de l\u2019adolescente en d\u00e9tresse.<\/p>\n<h3>La voix du village qui s\u2019exprime librement<\/h3>\n<p>Concernant le sujet, tous les critiques s\u2019accordent pour dire qu\u2019il s\u2019agit d\u2019un film politique. Ils ont raison. Sans entrer dans la complainte \u00e9gocentrique, <em>Trois visages\u00a0<\/em>fait allusion \u00e0 la censure de son r\u00e9alisateur et \u00e0 celle d\u2019autres artistes iraniens. Le film aborde \u00e9galement la question de l\u2019am\u00e9nagement du territoire dans le pays par les routes d\u00e9labr\u00e9es et probl\u00e9matiques emprunt\u00e9es par les protagonistes. La question de la place des femmes et de la vie villageoise est certainement aussi politique. Mais l\u00e0, en l&#8217;occurrence, elle est surtout culturelle. Pour le moins, c\u2019est ainsi que le r\u00e9alisateur semble exposer les faits.<\/p>\n<p>Ceux qui s\u2019attendent \u00e0 une critique sans compromis ni nuances de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 iranienne dans le nouveau Panahi seront d\u00e9\u00e7us. Car ce qui fait pencher les th\u00e8mes majeurs du film du c\u00f4t\u00e9 plus culturel que politique, c\u2019est justement la nuance du regard fin et intelligent de l\u2019Iranien. Il essaie de comprendre. Il veut donner \u00e0 comprendre. Il ne justifie pas les attitudes \u00e0 caract\u00e8re in\u00e9galitaire voire misogyne, pourtant il laisse la voix du village s\u2019exprimer librement. \u00ab\u00a0C\u2019est nos coutumes.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>La place qu\u2019il accorde \u00e0 leurs propos montre bien que Panahi n\u2019exprime aucun m\u00e9pris pour ces citoyens qui vivent \u00e0 part. Pas de caricatures non plus d\u2019hommes qui seraient m\u00e9chants et esclavagistes avec les femmes. D\u2019ailleurs, ceux-ci s\u2019inclinent devant l\u2019actrice en visite et lui servent le th\u00e9 et des cadeaux avec humilit\u00e9. Le film fait aussi honneur \u00e0 la vie des montagnards en filmant avec gr\u00e2ce des objets du quotidien et du travail\u00a0: un taureau bless\u00e9, un tracteur rouill\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>La plus belle sc\u00e8ne, qui r\u00e9sume bien l\u2019esprit du film, reste sans aucun doute celle o\u00f9 un villageois s\u2019entretient avec Behnaz Jafari. Les deux discutent un soir, assis sous les lumi\u00e8res, devant la maison de l\u2019homme modeste. Celui-ci, qui s\u2019\u00e9tait montr\u00e9 hostile \u00e0 l\u2019arriv\u00e9e des deux \u00e9trangers au d\u00e9but, lui livre ses pens\u00e9es, ses soucis, sa vision du monde, ses espoirs les plus sinc\u00e8res pour les g\u00e9n\u00e9rations futures. Le dialogue offre au sc\u00e9nario toute sa dimension transcendante qui passe \u00e0 travers l\u2019existence humaine et encourage les petites gens \u00e0 tenir bon et \u00eatre heureux avec ce qu\u2019ils ont.
