We therefore feel it would be a good idea to analyze Spike Lee's latest work from two angles, one more formal and the other taking a closer look at the film itself. <em>BlacKkKlansman<\/em> as a committed socio-political object.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more Lire la suite de la critique (en libre acc\u00e8s)-->\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"BLACKkKLANSMAN Bande Annonce VF (2018)\" width=\"1000\" height=\"563\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ZzNM_4UjD1c?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>L\u2019objet artistique<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Du point de vue formel et technique, <em>BlacKkKlansman<\/em> est un sans-faute. Le casting est excellent, le r\u00e9cit est rythm\u00e9, la photographie soign\u00e9e, la musique marquante, le sc\u00e9nario intelligent et pertinent. Ce long-m\u00e9trage est une adaptation du livre \u00e9ponyme de Ron Stallworth, o\u00f9 il relate son improbable histoire, celle du premier policier afro-am\u00e9ricain de Colorado Springs et de son enqu\u00eate in\u00e9dite. Nous sommes \u00e0 la fin des ann\u00e9es septante, dans l\u2019Am\u00e9rique post-guerre du Vietnam, et Ron Stallworth, \u00e9paul\u00e9 par son coll\u00e8gue juif Flip Zimmerman (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm3485845\/\">Adam Driver<\/a>), infiltre le Ku Klux Klan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Au niveau du sc\u00e9nario, la narration lin\u00e9aire nous plonge dans un r\u00e9cit qui respecte tous les codes de la com\u00e9die polici\u00e8re: duo de flics sympathique, enqu\u00eate \u00e0 suspens, <em>happy ending<\/em>. Aussi, l\u2019humour est dos\u00e9 avec parcimonie; le spectateur rit souvent jaune, car la th\u00e9matique trait\u00e9e n\u2019est pas des plus l\u00e9g\u00e8res. Les \u00abfr\u00e8res et s\u0153urs\u00bb de l\u2019Association des \u00e9tudiants noirs du Colorado se r\u00e9unissent afin de lutter pour leurs droits, tandis que la section locale du Ku Klux Klan organise des attaques arm\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Les tons sont ternes. Des images nous marquent: les vues a\u00e9riennes de la nature sauvage du Colorado et les magnifiques visages des \u00e9tudiants absorb\u00e9s lors d\u2019un <em>meeting<\/em> qui se d\u00e9tachent et flottent sur un fond noir. Cette suspension de l\u2019espace-temps les universalise, les sublime. Spike Lee collabore pour l\u2019\u00e9ni\u00e8me fois avec Terence Blanchard pour la musique et il fait bien: la m\u00e9lodie aux allures de polar que nous retrouvons dans <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0454848\/\">Inside Man<\/a><\/em> (2006) accentue le c\u00f4t\u00e9 policier de l\u2019enqu\u00eate. La performance de John David Washington d\u00e9passe grandement celles de son p\u00e8re Denzel Washington pour sa fra\u00eecheur et son brio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le r\u00e9alisateur joue avec l\u2019ambiance <em>seventies<\/em> gr\u00e2ce aux <em>split-screens<\/em> et aux titres rappelant la tradition de films de <em>blacksploitation<\/em>. Mais <em>BlacKkKlansman<\/em> n\u2019est pas un hommage \u00e0 la <em>blacksploitation<\/em>, car il est beaucoup plus nuanc\u00e9; point de clich\u00e9s, de st\u00e9r\u00e9otypes, mais la finesse du combat anti-raciste. Petite perle: l\u2019ouverture en 4\/3 sur une sc\u00e8ne du film <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0031381\/\">Gone with the wind<\/a><\/em> (1939) avec le drapeau sudiste flottant au vent, \u00e9cho \u00e9vident aux sc\u00e8nes de la fin du film que nous vous laisserons d\u00e9couvrir. Spike Lee signe avec ce long-m\u00e9trage une \u0153uvre remarquable du point de vue artistique en nous montrant sa ma\u00eetrise compl\u00e8te de l\u2019objet cin\u00e9matographique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>L\u2019objet socio-politique<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>But <em>BlacKkKlansman<\/em> n\u2019est pas qu\u2019un film. C\u2019est un pamphlet, un manifeste; c\u2019est une \u0153uvre engag\u00e9e. De multiples r\u00e9alisateurs tentent d\u2019infiltrer des pseudo-critiques de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 ou de la politique am\u00e9ricaine dans leurs longs-m\u00e9trages, mais ces tentatives s\u2019av\u00e8rent souvent tr\u00e8s superficielles. Spike Lee propose un autre objet et arrive \u00e0 faire p\u00e2lir les prolif\u00e9rations de termes orduriers tels que \u00ab<em>nigger<\/em>\u00bb sens\u00e9es faire r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir au racisme dans les films de Quentin Tarantino (d\u2019habitude \u00f4 combien appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 par l&#8217;auteur de ce papier). Spike Lee est d\u00e9finitivement un cran au-dessus et tel un p\u00e8re, il semble montrer l\u2019exemple d\u2019une critique \u00e9l\u00e9gante mais non moins puissante du racisme et des d\u00e9rives politiques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read also | <a href=\"https:\/\/leregardlibre.com\/en\/cinema\/tarantino-un-cinema-si-excitant\/\">Tarantino, such exciting cinema!<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019auteur du plus virulent <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0104797\/\">Malcolm X<\/a><\/em> (1992) semble avoir compris que le supr\u00e9macisme noir n\u2019est pas la r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 celui des blancs et rejoint le camp plus mesur\u00e9 d&#8217;un Martin Luther King. Il aurait \u00e9t\u00e9 simple et simpliste de d\u00e9peindre les policiers blancs tels de m\u00e9chants racistes et les \u00e9tudiants noirs comme des gentils. Tout en d\u00e9non\u00e7ant les violences des premiers sur les derniers \u2013 d\u2019une br\u00fblante actualit\u00e9 \u2013 il ne se limite pas \u00e0 cela et dresse un portrait complexe et non manich\u00e9en du peuple am\u00e9ricain. Ouvertement anti-Trump, <em>BlacKkKlansman<\/em> r\u00e9sonne en 2018 et attaque avec intelligence le pr\u00e9sident am\u00e9ricain.
