Husband David (John Cho) and daughter Margot (Michelle La), now without her mother, must cope and get on with life. One evening, everything turns their lives upside down again.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>L\u2019histoire commence r\u00e9ellement le jour o\u00f9 Margot ne r\u00e9pond plus aux appels ni aux messages incessants et inquiets de son p\u00e8re. Ce dernier finit par appeler la police et l\u2019enqu\u00eate est men\u00e9e par Rosemary Wick interpr\u00e9t\u00e9e par la d\u00e9termin\u00e9e Debra Messing. Sous les yeux du spectateur, des images semblables \u00e0 celles quotidiennement distribu\u00e9es sur ses \u00e9crans lui font suivre l\u2019enqu\u00eate qui m\u00e8ne les personnages jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la d\u00e9couverte de la voiture de Margot au fond d\u2019un lac.<\/p>\n<p>David participe \u00e0 l\u2019enqu\u00eate, recherchant fr\u00e9n\u00e9tiquement dans l\u2019ordinateur de sa fille, piratant ses comptes sur les r\u00e9seaux sociaux et organisant la moindre information \u00e0 propos d\u2019elle. Il apprend du m\u00eame coup tout ce qu\u2019un p\u00e8re ne voudrait sans doute pas savoir. Pas r\u00e9ellement li\u00e9e aux camarades de son lyc\u00e9e et absente aux cours de piano depuis six mois, Margot r\u00e9v\u00e8le malgr\u00e9 elle une facette jusqu\u2019alors inconnue par son p\u00e8re.<\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s que les aveux d\u2019un homme sont subitement tomb\u00e9s, la confiance que David porte \u00e0 Rosemary Wick se brise. Il se rend compte que cette derni\u00e8re est li\u00e9e, d\u2019une mani\u00e8re ou d\u2019une autre, \u00e0 la disparition de sa fille. Mettant tout en \u0153uvre pour retrouver sa fille, David finira par d\u00e9couvrir la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 qui sera suivie par les m\u00e9dias.<\/p>\n<h3>Une volont\u00e9 innovante finalement banale<\/h3>\n<p>Malgr\u00e9 les rebondissements qui surviennent aux bons moments, la trame qui guide le spectateur \u00e0 travers l\u2019histoire reste peu surprenante, peut-\u00eatre parce qu\u2019elle est compos\u00e9e d\u2019images qui nous rappellent quelque chose de d\u00e9j\u00e0-vu. M\u00ealant le thriller policier \u00e0 la technologie \u00e0 travers laquelle nous vivons, le film est audacieux et innovant \u2013 tout comme le film <em>Profile <\/em>de Timur Bekmambetov \u2013 mais ne parvient pas toujours \u00e0 surprendre.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Read also: <a href=\"https:\/\/leregardlibre.com\/en\/2018\/07\/13\/profile-not-normal-but-banal\/\">\u00ab Profile\u00a0\u00bb, pas normal mais banal<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Une r\u00e9flexion sur les possibilit\u00e9s \u2013 bonnes et mauvaises \u2013 qu\u2019ouvre la technologie avec laquelle nous vivons s\u2019ouvre \u00e0 mesure que les formats vid\u00e9o se succ\u00e8dent sous nos yeux. Seulement, la quantit\u00e9 de texte semble \u00e9loigner <em>Searching<\/em> du cin\u00e9ma dans lequel nous venons chercher l\u2019image. Ou peut-\u00eatre \u00e9tait-ce une volont\u00e9 d&#8217;Aneesh Shaganty, le r\u00e9alisateur, de montrer l\u2019importance surabondante de l\u2019\u00e9crit dans notre
