French director Jacques Audiard presents <em>The Sisters Brothers<\/em>. It is close to the <em>blockbuster<\/em>, without his film becoming one. He has one foot in the codes of the Western and the other in those of visual aesthetics. An adventure in which brutality gives rise to a form of brotherhood.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Chaque d\u00e9tonation est l\u00e0 pour une raison pr\u00e9cise. La sc\u00e8ne d\u2019ouverture le montre parfaitement: une le\u00e7on de cin\u00e9ma d\u2019environ sept minutes. Rien que pour \u00e7a, il faut voir le film! La nuit, d\u2019abord, myst\u00e9rieuse; un plan large d\u00e9voile un paysage anthracite; l\u2019horizon obscur; au milieu, embrum\u00e9e, la silhouette d\u2019une maison; puis des voix r\u00e9sonnent, des avertissements. La tension monte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Soudain, des coups de feu \u00e9clatent. Des cris. On ne voit que les explosions au bout des fusils. Elles \u00e9clairent juste ce qu\u2019il faut pour comprendre ce qui arrive: un massacre brutal, quelque part dans l\u2019Am\u00e9rique du XIX<sup>th <\/sup>si\u00e8cle. Un homme entre dans la maison, la lumi\u00e8re fuit sur des cadavres. Il tire \u00e0 bout portant sur ceux qui vivent encore et crie un pr\u00e9nom. Ce dernier pense s\u2019\u00e9chapper par le toit, glisse et tombe droit devant un autre homme qui lui tire une balle sans broncher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Illuminer les personnages<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Voil\u00e0, les fr\u00e8res Sisters et leur r\u00e9putation s\u2019imposent au spectateur! Charlie (Joaquin Phoenix) appelle son fr\u00e8re Eli (John C. Reilly). On sait d\u00e8s le d\u00e9part, par la mani\u00e8re dont Audiard pose ses deux personnages principaux, que le premier est plus violent que le second, sauf qu\u2019on ignore pourquoi. Ils repartent apr\u00e8s avoir constat\u00e9 l\u2019incendie dans la grange avec le bonheur du devoir accompli.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019aventure commence ensuite vraiment avec un nouveau contrat: torturer et obtenir une formule du chimiste Hermann Kermit Warm (Riz Ahmed). Morris (Jake Gyllenhaal) le colle d\u00e9j\u00e0 de pr\u00e8s et en informe les fr\u00e8res Sisters. Il se dit, dans les villages, que Warm d\u00e9tient la capacit\u00e9 de faire appara\u00eetre les m\u00e9taux pr\u00e9cieux dans les rivi\u00e8res. Tout cela se passe en pleine p\u00e9riode de la ru\u00e9e vers l\u2019or. Bonjour Jack London! Bonjour Henry David Thorea !<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Une course-poursuite commence d\u00e8s lors depuis l\u2019Oregon jusqu\u2019en Californie. Jusque l\u00e0, une certitude: brutalit\u00e9. Oui, mais la suite de l\u2019histoire d\u00e9voile progressivement, m\u00eame dans l\u2019horreur, la fraternit\u00e9 qui peut relier ceux qui se pourchassent initialement et qui finissent par s\u2019appr\u00e9cier d\u2019une mani\u00e8re ou d\u2019une autre. Un lien qui se cr\u00e9e gr\u00e2ce au r\u00eave du pourchass\u00e9 Warm. Comment? A vous d\u2019aller le voir!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">R\u00e9v\u00e9ler qui ils sont vraiment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>La v\u00e9ritable r\u00e9ussite de Jacques Audiard est l\u2019utilisation qu\u2019il fait de la lumi\u00e8re. L\u2019impression qu\u2019elle appara\u00eet toujours naturelle, rendant notamment les sc\u00e8nes de campement autour du feu, nombreuses et importantes, tellement authentiques et vivantes. Seule suffit par exemple la lumi\u00e8re des flammes pour \u00e9clairer les traits de caract\u00e8re qui aide \u00e0 mieux cerner l\u2019\u00e2me des deux fr\u00e8res. <em>Bluffant<\/em>! Un peu comme la personnalit\u00e9 des quatre protagonistes qui appara\u00eet naturellement dans les rayons entrant par une fen\u00eatre ou irradiant depuis une lampe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tout cela est un intense et merveilleux spectacle!
