Musumeci<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u00abEh bien! \u2013 ainsi parle le Seigneur \u2013 je vais faire venir sur eux un malheur dont ils ne pourront se tirer. Ils m\u2019appelleront \u00e0 l\u2019aide, mais je ne les \u00e9couterai pas.\u00bb&nbsp;J\u00e9r\u00e9mie 11:11<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap\">Une petite fille regarde la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision. Nous sommes en 1986. L\u2019action Hands Across America bat son plein pour plus de solidarit\u00e9 aux Etats-Unis. Une publicit\u00e9 parmi tant d\u2019autres \u00e0 la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision qui devrait laisser une enfant indiff\u00e9rente. Coupure. On retrouve la petite fille, avec son papa et sa maman sur la plage de Santa Cruz \u00e0 la f\u00eate foraine. L\u2019angoisse est palpable, alors que les rires et les jeux sont dominants. Un instant a suffi \u00e0 ce que son p\u00e8re d\u00e9tourne le regard pour que la petite fille s\u2019\u00e9loigne. Elle est perdue pendant un petit quart d\u2019heure. Traumatisme. Ses parents la retrouvent et elle ne parle plus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De nos jours. La situation semble s\u2019\u00eatre nettement arrang\u00e9e pour l\u2019enfant qui est devenue d\u00e9sormais une femme, Adela\u00efde. Elle est m\u00e8re \u00e0 son tour. En famille, ils reviennent \u00e0 Santa Cruz pour les vacances d\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9. Mais trop de co\u00efncidences rappellent \u00e0 la protagoniste le choc de son enfance. Peur pr\u00e9monitoire car la suite n\u2019a rien de joyeux. Panne de courant. \u00abY a une famille dans notre all\u00e9e\u00bb, remarque Jason, le fils. Et la famille en question n\u2019est pas pr\u00eate \u00e0 s\u2019en aller. Ils s\u2019avancent vers la maison, et je vous passe la suite.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more Lire la suite de la critique-->\n\n\n\n<p>Au-del\u00e0 de toute attente, Jordan Peele signe un film d\u2019une force incroyable. Class\u00e9 sous le genre d\u2019\u00e9pouvante-horreur,&nbsp;<em>Us<\/em> fait preuve&nbsp;de beaucoup plus. C\u2019est pleinement du cin\u00e9ma, et du cin\u00e9ma complet. Bien s\u00fbr, les images et l\u2019histoire ne sont pas des plus rassurants. La peur est au tournant, mais pas la terreur. Il s\u2019agit en fait davantage d\u2019un <em>thriller<\/em> que d\u2019un film d\u2019horreur \u00e0 proprement parler. Malgr\u00e9 tout, je vous d\u00e9conseille d\u2019y emmener vos enfants; et \u00e2mes trop sensibles, s\u2019abstenir.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Des d\u00e9fauts, le long-m\u00e9trage en compte pourtant quelques-uns. A commencer par le sang et la violence. Non pas qu\u2019ils soient pouss\u00e9s \u00e0 outrance, mais simplement ils ne servent pas le film. Au contraire, ils att\u00e9nuent paradoxalement l\u2019angoisse ambiante. Car la peur est plut\u00f4t psychologique, voire spirituelle, et voir du sang et des coups par-ci et des entailles par-l\u00e0 repose plut\u00f4t le spectateur. Est-ce n\u00e9cessaire? A r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir. Aussi, qui dit psychologie, dit symboles et co\u00efncidences qui font r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir et ne laissent pas toujours pr\u00e9sager le meilleur. L\u00e0 encore, le sc\u00e9nario en fait tout de m\u00eame un peu trop, et les <em>signes <\/em>sont amen\u00e9s par moments de fa\u00e7on un peu grossi\u00e8re. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Us - Bande-Annonce Officielle VF [Au cin\u00e9ma le 20 mars]\" width=\"1000\" height=\"563\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Pqo4FGNlcpg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Et pourtant les symboles et m\u00e9taphores du film ne sont pas \u00e0 jeter. Qu\u2019il y ait une part de supercherie ou non de la part de Jordan Peele \u00e0 vouloir int\u00e9grer un trop-plein de sens \u00e0 son sc\u00e9nario importe peu. Parce que de toute fa\u00e7on, les \u00e9l\u00e9ments pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s sont puissants. D\u2019une parole biblique \u00e0 une paire de ciseaux jusqu\u2019\u00e0 des lapins blancs, tout m\u00e8ne \u00e0 r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir, m\u00eame si cela d\u00e9passe l\u2019intention du sc\u00e9nario, qui nous laisse tr\u00e8s libres dans son interpr\u00e9tation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En tout cas, la profondeur est certaine. De fait, le film dans son ensemble m\u00e8ne \u00e0 une \u00e9nigme: qui sommes-nous? Enigme qui se divise en diff\u00e9rentes petites qu\u00eates qui remuent les m\u00e9ninges et coupent le souffle. Pas trop de complications cependant. La richesse du sc\u00e9nario n\u2019emp\u00eache pas \u00e0 l\u2019\u0153uvre artistique de se d\u00e9ployer dans tout son talent. L&#8217;humour est d&#8217;ailleurs aussi de la partie. Les questions et les myst\u00e8res soulev\u00e9s par<em>Us<\/em> sont agenc\u00e9s dans une succession de sc\u00e8nes d\u00e9coup\u00e9es \u00e0 la perfection.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La mise en sc\u00e8ne est dansante et lente pour laisser place, dans les moments critiques, \u00e0 l\u2019agressivit\u00e9 et \u00e0 la rapidit\u00e9 qui jaillit des personnages. Le tout, port\u00e9 par une photographie sublime o\u00f9 r\u00e8gne le contraste entre la surexposition de la grande nature am\u00e9ricaine avec ses paysages et l\u2019obscurit\u00e9 des tunnels ou de la maison dans la nuit. Le fait que les acteurs soient noirs \u2013 marque de fabrique chez Jordan Peele \u2013 contribue \u00e9videmment \u00e0 ce que la confusion s\u2019op\u00e8re aux limites du visage. Tout est sombre et seuls les yeux blancs et fig\u00e9s des acteurs ressortent dans le noir.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/leregardlibre.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Us-Szenen-ov-01-Scene-Picture-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20044\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Sans parler de la musique qui, \u00e0 elle seule, cr\u00e9e une ambiance. Sa composition est toutefois risqu\u00e9e, dans la mesure o\u00f9 elle pourrait virer \u00e0 la caricature. Diss\u00e9qu\u00e9e et s\u00e8che, elle est fleurie des voix d\u2019un ch\u0153ur. Les films d\u2019horreur en usent et en abusent. Mais <em>Us<\/em>touche juste. Certainement angoissante, la musique m\u00e8ne le spectateur plus loin. Elle a un air \u00e0 la fois religieux et pa\u00efen. Monotone et tr\u00e8s rythm\u00e9. Autant de contraires qui la rendent g\u00e9niale. Et inoubliable.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Us<\/em>, c\u2019est&nbsp;<em>nous<\/em>. Dans l\u2019ombre ou la lumi\u00e8re. En pleine nature ou sous terre. Dans la vengeance inassouvie, ou la recherche de la paix. <em>Us<\/em>, c\u2019est nous quand nous crions. Quand nous crions, et qu\u2019on ne nous entend pas. Quand on reste seul.
