Compos\u00e9 de vocif\u00e9rations \u00e9nergiques, le drame met en sc\u00e8ne le vaste r\u00e9quisitoire d\u2019un homme face \u00e0 un monde corrompu.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more Lire l'article-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">Le mercredi 20 f\u00e9vrier 2019, au pavillon du th\u00e9\u00e2tre de Vidy, la salle d\u00e9gage une atmosph\u00e8re \u00e9trange. Peu avant le d\u00e9but du spectacle, les spectateurs murmurent leur impatience face au retour de Dieudonn\u00e9 Niangouna, qui \u2013 la derni\u00e8re fois \u2013 avait suscit\u00e9 quelque pol\u00e9mique avec sa pi\u00e8ce intitul\u00e9e <em>Nkengu\u00e9gi<\/em>, une \u0153uvre complexe qui avait dur\u00e9 plus de trois heures et vu le public quitter les lieux avant la moiti\u00e9 du temps. Cependant, cette fois-ci, pas de rollers, de radeau, de soir\u00e9es costum\u00e9es et de \u2013 trop nombreux \u2013 changements de tableaux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Et Dieu ne pesait pas lourd\u2026<\/em> met en sc\u00e8ne un homme, interpr\u00e9t\u00e9 par Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Fisbach. Celui-ci, seul sur le plateau, porte un <em>jeans<\/em>, une veste \u00e0 capuche et un <em>T-shirt<\/em>; il dit s\u2019appeler Anton. Tr\u00e8s vite, il d\u00e9crit son v\u00e9cu parce qu\u2019il ne se consid\u00e8re pas comme un protagoniste ordinaire. Et pour cause, originaire d\u2019une banlieue parisienne, ce dernier a \u00e9t\u00e9 enferm\u00e9 pendant vingt-trois ans dans diverses ge\u00f4les autour du monde: de la CIA \u00e0 un groupuscule djihadiste en passant par la cave d\u2019un rebelle. Il s\u2019agit donc de l\u2019histoire d\u2019un vagabond ou plut\u00f4t d\u2019un r\u00e9volt\u00e9 qu\u2019Anton d\u00e9cide de nous livrer; eh oui, car apr\u00e8s ce <em>maelstr\u00f6m<\/em> existentiel, le protagoniste veut vider son sac, cracher au monde sa laideur, sa stupidit\u00e9 et sa m\u00e9diocrit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Une col\u00e8re en un lieu inconnu<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A vrai dire, le spectateur ne sait pas vraiment o\u00f9 se trouve Anton. Celui-ci semble comme enferm\u00e9 dans une cellule et espionn\u00e9 par une cam\u00e9ra de surveillance. Expos\u00e9 \u00e0 la lumi\u00e8re des spots, il vocif\u00e8re, il raisonne, il g\u00e9mit et, lorsqu\u2019il d\u00e9passe les limites impos\u00e9es par son ge\u00f4lier, un ultrason strident retentit. Face \u00e0 son d\u00e9tenteur qui nie la libert\u00e9 de pens\u00e9e et d\u2019expression, Anton, d\u2019une voix puissante et gla\u00e7ante, tant\u00f4t hurle, tant\u00f4t d\u00e9bat de ce qui le fait sentir lourd dans cet univers: les guerres, la faim dans le monde, l\u2019\u00e9go\u00efsme, les politiques corrompus, et autres sujets br\u00fblants d\u2019actualit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le r\u00e9cit de vie qu\u2019\u00e9labore le protagoniste \u2013 en lien avec ces th\u00e9matiques \u2013 se r\u00e9v\u00e8le fluctuant, divers proc\u00e9d\u00e9s narratifs prenant place pour expliciter tel \u00e9v\u00e9nement ou telle rencontre. On oscille ainsi entre analepses, mises en ab\u00eeme et discours rapport\u00e9s. Pris au pi\u00e8ge sur ce plateau born\u00e9 comme une prison, le com\u00e9dien tourne en rond et tient des raisonnements cycliques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A bien y r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir, il y a un personnage qui sort du lot dans cette pi\u00e8ce. Et ce n\u2019est ni Anton, ni le chef des djihadistes, ni l\u2019homme cens\u00e9 le surveiller, mais un certain Saoul Atman, un gourou compositeur de musique \u00e9lectronique; par l\u2019entremise d\u2019un dialogue avec lui-m\u00eame, le protagoniste nous explique comment, \u00e0 Seattle, il fit la connaissance de ce pr\u00e9cepteur dans l\u2019un des plus grands <em>clubs<\/em> de la ville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En d\u00e9butant le r\u00e9cit de cette rencontre, l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re devient \u00e9lectrique. La lumi\u00e8re, auparavant blanche, se transforme en rayons \u00e9carlates, les machines \u00e0 fum\u00e9e s\u2019emballent et la musique \u00e9lectronique bat son plein. Saoul Atman se r\u00e9v\u00e8le \u00eatre un <em>dandy<\/em> excentrique qui, la nuit, mixe dans le meilleur <em>club<\/em> de Seattle et, le jour, s\u2019\u00e9clipse dans sa biblioth\u00e8que souterraine, pour \u00e9laborer \u00abL\u2019\u0152uvre\u00bb, celle qui doit subvertir le monde. Alors qu\u2019il se lie d\u2019amiti\u00e9 avec Saoul, Anton d\u00e9couvre avec fascination cet univers \u00e9sot\u00e9rique et d\u00e9cide de prendre part au projet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>L\u2019adaptation d\u2019un texte command\u00e9&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>La pi\u00e8ce est une commande de Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Fisbach \u00e0 Dieudonn\u00e9 Niangouna. En tendant les oreilles, le spectateur reconna\u00eetra la voix puissante et tranchante de Niangouna, son verbe enflamm\u00e9, sa critique acerbe et ses illusions d\u00e9truites. Cela r\u00e9v\u00e8le un parti pris audacieux: celui de faire jouer un texte, compos\u00e9 de mani\u00e8re orale pour l\u2019oral, \u00e0 Fisbach qui ne l\u2019a pas \u00e9labor\u00e9 \u2013 et, parfois, cela s\u2019entend. Nous lui aurions peut-\u00eatre pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9 Niangouna \u2013 avec son accent congolais \u2013 et ses r\u00e9pliques coup-sur-coup. Mais Fisbach, alternant avec ma\u00eetrise jeu corporel et paroles, parvient \u00e0 convaincre le spectateur de la sinc\u00e9rit\u00e9 du propos et de sa r\u00e9appropriation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>D\u2019ailleurs, lorsque l\u2019on se base sur le texte original, publi\u00e9 aux Editions Les Solitaires Intempestifs, on constate que le metteur en sc\u00e8ne a fait le choix de ne pas adapter l\u2019int\u00e9gralit\u00e9 du texte de Niangouna, sans doute pour ne pas r\u00e9p\u00e9ter la bavure de <em>Nkengu\u00e9gi<\/em>, qui s\u2019\u00e9tendait sur une dur\u00e9e approximative de trois heures et trente minutes. On le sait, Niangouna a la logorrh\u00e9e\u2026 du guerrier. Eternel insatisfait, jamais vaincu, cet homme assume de cracher \u00e0 la face du monde \u2013 parfois m\u00eame trop \u2013 ce qui peut lui assurer du succ\u00e8s aussi bien que de la d\u00e9convenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Et Dieu ne pesait pas lourd<\/em>\u2026 rel\u00e8ve d\u2019un genre non-d\u00e9fini, \u00e0 la crois\u00e9e entre un proc\u00e8s d\u2019intention et un soliloque r\u00e9volt\u00e9. Lorsqu\u2019il assiste \u00e0 la repr\u00e9sentation, le spectateur ne se trouve ni face \u00e0 une pi\u00e8ce classique, ni \u00e0 un dramaturge trop reconnu. Il se trouve alors seul juge en salle. Fisbach et Niangouna livrent un drame sinc\u00e8re qui permet une <em>catharsis<\/em> de ses \u00e9motions, de sa culpabilit\u00e9 et de son stress; pourtant, ils tombent assez rapidement dans le clich\u00e9 et dans le surplus. On passe d\u2019une \u00e9poque o\u00f9 \u00abDieu ne pesait pas lourd\u00bb \u00e0 celle de la pesanteur transcendante, de la complainte du consommateur \u00e0 la complainte du
