Accompagn\u00e9 de son arm\u00e9e d\u2019instruments, le duo a donn\u00e9 un concert incarnant \u00e0 la perfection le slogan p\u00e9tillant de cette 44<sup>th<\/sup> \u00e9dition: <em>FOLK YEAH!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more Lire l'article-->\n\n\n\n<p>Au moment o\u00f9 nous nous appr\u00eatons \u00e0 entrer dans leur loge suivis par deux bi\u00e8res sur pattes, l&#8217;un des deux fr\u00e8res s&#8217;asperge la figure de flotte tandis que l&#8217;autre nous avertit que \u00e7a va \u00eatre <em>\u00abvraiment chaud, l\u00e0-dedans\u00bb<\/em>. Affirmation aussit\u00f4t confirm\u00e9e. <em>Hot<\/em>, leur concert une heure plus t\u00f4t le fut tout autant. D\u00e9multipli\u00e9e en guitares et autres instruments \u00e0 corde, divers \u00e9l\u00e9ments rythmiques, un gros <em>didjeridoo<\/em> \u2013 \u00abinstrument de musique \u00e0 vent de la famille des cuivres, bien qu&#8217;il soit en bois\u00bb nous dit Google, donc le contraire d&#8217;un saxophone \u2013 et quelques machins suppl\u00e9mentaires, l&#8217;instrumentation mani\u00e9e par le groupe est impressionnante. Cette polyvalence est au service d&#8217;un changement r\u00e9gulier d&#8217;atmosph\u00e8res, couronn\u00e9 par une structure de concert en trois temps qui fait penser \u00e0 un voyage. En loges, ils acquiescent, satisfaits de l&#8217;effet obtenu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/leregardlibre.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/pierce_brothers_ma19_ludwig_wallendorff_15-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22706\"\/><figcaption>Pierce Brothers, Pal\u00e9o Festival Nyon 2019 \u00a9&nbsp;Pal\u00e9o&nbsp;\/&nbsp;Ludwig&nbsp;Wallendorff<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Surtout, l&#8217;ambiance du spectacle est \u00e0 son comble. Savamment ponctu\u00e9es de hauts textes et de \u00aboh\u00bb tout court, leurs paroles et m\u00e9lodies sont rassembleuses sans \u00eatre na\u00efves, et les visages qui les portent tout autant attrayants. Cela n&#8217;emp\u00eache pas les deux jumeaux de compter dans leur r\u00e9pertoire des chansons carr\u00e9ment tristes. Explication en loge: <em>\u00abLes chansons tristes sont tr\u00e8s cathartiques, on a voulu cr\u00e9er des morceaux qui offrent de l&#8217;espoir.\u00bb<\/em> Loin des chansons \u00e0 minettes, donc. D&#8217;ailleurs, nous apprenons lors de la discussion que l\u2019un des fr\u00e8res a eu un accident, et s&#8217;est ensuite trouv\u00e9 pendant trois ans en stress post-traumatique. D&#8217;o\u00f9 ces titres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Pierce Brothers - &#039;Follow Me Into The Dark&#039; [Official Video]\" width=\"1000\" height=\"563\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/-DNXLB1ZpII?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Les frangins ne sont pas \u00e0 leur premier concert en Suisse, mais c&#8217;est leur premier festival. <em>\u00abPas de clavier, car compliqu\u00e9 \u00e0 transporter.\u00bb<\/em> Ma question ne fait pas mouche, et encore moins touche, mais c&#8217;est bien r\u00e9pondu! De toute mani\u00e8re, on n&#8217;en voudrait pas, de piano, sur leur musique tr\u00e8s folk&#8230; voire country. D&#8217;ailleurs, sont-ils influenc\u00e9s par ce genre musical? <em>\u00abOui, totalement, et en particulier par Paul Kelly, qui est un peu notre Bob Dylan australien et qui est l&#8217;une de nos plus grandes influences.\u00bb<\/em> Avant de conclure, dans la bouche de l&#8217;un: <em>\u00abOn voudrait bien justement ajouter un banjo, qui nous placerait dans la country music\u00bb<\/em>, mais l&#8217;autre ne l&#8217;entend pas de cette oreille: <em>\u00abJamais\u00bb<\/em>.
