Musumeci<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u00abAnd sometimes, what we'd like to forget, what we'd like to leave behind, can't stay there. Sometimes the past comes back for us.\u00bb <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap\">Still the city of Derry, but\ntwenty-seven years later. In the manner of a series, the film immediately recalls\nits first part by opening abruptly on the floating body of young Beverly\nBeverly under the clown's murderous grip. Then, immediately\nto the cheerful, laughing atmosphere of a funfair. But it's not just\nyoungsters in bumper cars. The clown Grippe-Sou is laughing too.\nWho returns. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>From reality to fiction<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>His first victim: a man who falls\nin the river that runs through the town. The man in question was\nat a party with his boyfriend. The couple, spotted in the middle of a kiss by a gang of\nis spotted and beaten up. This is a true story. A\nwith the exception of the clown's devouring, the facts are real. They left their mark on\nStephen King, who decided to use it as a tribute to, or denunciation of\nhomophobia, in his novel. Here's a clever link woven between reality and\nfiction. It's a link that shows how fiction can represent, if not explain, reality.\nif not explain, reality. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And the story continues. Mike,\nthe only member of the group of children who fought Grippe-Sou twenty-seven years\ntwenty-seven years earlier, who has remained in Derry, goes to Derry.\nchildhood experiences can give rise to vocations in the service of justice.\nvocations in the service of justice. All the signs are there. Evil in\nis back. Beneath his white make-up and red nose, the devil is at work once again.\nthe devil is at work again, allied to the hatred that drove these young people to attack\nthe gay couple. His allies are frustration, jealousy and the venom that kills a man's heart.\nkill the human heart. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reunion for the group of misfits<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The other members of the\ngroup\u00ab were urgently summoned by Mike. They had made a promise to each other\nto get together again to confront the clown if he ever came back. But\nhaving moved away from Derry, they had all forgotten the shock of their childhood. Everyone\nhave their own lives, jobs and problems. The summons is therefore seen as\nan opportunity for a friendly reunion. Which it is. But then\nthe memories return, and so does the fear. The way is then paved for\nGrippe-Sou who returns to attack them. Running away? They're tempted. But like fear\nthe scar of their promise catches up with them too. They stay, to\novercome it. Despite the nasty surprises that await them. Despite the steps\neach of them must take to heal their past, the ghosts of fear and wounds\nwounds they must kill. Once and for all. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">An invitation to courage<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The few synopsis elements clearly indicate that <em>It<\/em> and <em>This: Chapter 2<\/em>, although belonging to the horror-horror genre, completely embrace philosophy. Both films deliver a message that may be trite, but is essential: courage is the lifeblood, the key to survival, and in order to kill the fears and traumas most intimate to each individual, it must be carried by the union, the collective. Alone, we're helpless and vulnerable. Together, sealed by the sacred bonds of friendship, we can vanquish the forces of evil. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stylistically, Andy Muschietti's\nAndy Muschietti's direction fares a little less well than in the first chapter.\nchapter. The element of surprise is still present, as in a horror film, but the effect of suggestion\nbut the suggestive effect of the camera acting as an outside spectator\nalmost disappears. <em>This: Chapter 2 <\/em>does\nbut don't take your children there just yet. Because some\ncertain scenes are bound to make the hairs on your\nforearms. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other hand, the scenario is more refined\nthan in the first chapter. With the exception of an increased esoteric dimension\nesoteric dimension, which is not only badly shot, but also ridiculously <em>arse<\/em> that makes you giggle rather than\na smile. Humor and derision, however, play a more important role. They\nto counterbalance the seriousness of the facts. Children die\nchildren die, terror reigns, but we're constantly reminded that it's all\nthat it's all just a movie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And even if part of its purpose lies in the thrills it promises viewers, it remains above all in its invitation to courage and virtue. Wherever we come from, whatever our story. Whether we're orphaned by parents who died in a fire, orphaned by a little brother in a yellow anorak, or abused by our own father throughout our childhood. Life's failures have their part to play. Hope for a cure. For a better life. Even if it doesn't end well for everyone - reality is tragic - it will. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u00abDon't be afraid. Stay who you are. And if you find someone you care about, never let them go.
