Greta's infantility, even when manipulated, is quite normal: she's a young girl. More appalling is the infantility of all those, leaders, journalists or citizens, who revere her as a saint - St. John, when you hold us. Don't these words from 1975 remind you of someone? In the face of so much self-importance but so little actual seriousness, let's allow ourselves a little humor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What if the end of the world, as predicted by environmentalists, <em>hardcore<\/em> and other Johannine prophets was actually good news?<\/strong> Who would regret for even a second the fact that no human being has to listen to the threatening commands of the goddess of the North anymore? And that's not all\u2014just take a look at what follows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Once the human race is extinct, there will be no more Damso concerts, \u00abgender-neutral restrooms,\u00bb or electric scooters<\/strong> <strong>driven by a man in his thirties wearing in-ear headphones.<\/strong> No more reality TV or sleazy plastic surgery, no more goas, boas, bobos, or Booba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>When the world is no more, no one will have to put up with verbal tics or other artificial phrases anymore.<\/strong> No more \u00abso,\u00bb \u00abactually,\u00bb \u00abthose,\u00bb \u00abmale and female students,\u00bb \u00abpeople with disabilities,\u00bb \u00abcleaning staff,\u00bb \u00abthe values of the Republic,\u00bb \u00ab<em>brainstorming<\/em>\u00bb and the \u00ab<em>crowdfunding<\/em>\u00bb. No more emptiness\u2014welcome to the void of a universe without Earth!\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Once our planet has been destroyed, there won\u2019t even be climate change anymore. <\/strong>Wonderful, isn't it? There won\u2019t be any mention of the weather in the newspapers of paradise, and in hell\u2014where I\u2019ll be\u2014we\u2019ll be able to talk about whatever we want while grilling merguez sausages, for example: Wagner, Flaubert, D\u2019Alembert, Voltaire\u2014and even Albert the Green.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The age of the image will be banished, for we will no longer have sight. <\/strong>Blessed will be pure intelligence\u2014the intelligence of the cherubim and seraphim. Teleporting ourselves wherever we please, we will associate only with the souls who are our friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The words of the accusers and moralizers will vanish.<\/strong> That\u2019s the message I\u2019m trying to convey through this bit of humor: there are people making a difference at every level. And the world is getting better in many ways\u2014though by no means in all of them, of course! But still.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Beware of doomsday thinking.<\/strong> More and more people are getting tired of doomsday rhetoric.
