Musumeci<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u00abEvidence sometimes tells stories that reason contradicts.\u00bb<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap\">The day after his eighty-fifth birthday, Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer) is found dead in his bedroom. A comical situation in which a best-selling mystery writer becomes the real-life protagonist of a murder mystery. Murder or suicide? That is the question. That's the suspicion that the police and Detective Blanc (Daniel Craig) - who's as classy as ever! - must clear up to solve this case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more Lire la suite de la critique-->\n\n\n\n<p><em>A Couteaux tir\u00e9s<\/em> est un v\u00e9ritable Cluedo qui passe en revue, tour \u00e0 tour, chacun des membres de la famille Thrombey et du personnel de maison, tous pr\u00e9sents \u00e0 la f\u00eate d\u2019anniversaire. Chacun pourrait \u00eatre l\u2019assassin car chacun y trouverait un int\u00e9r\u00eat. Pour h\u00e9riter avant l\u2019heure, bien s\u00fbr. Ce qui donne d\u2019embl\u00e9e au film son aspect comique, dans la mesure o\u00f9 face aux enqu\u00eateurs, en interrogatoire priv\u00e9, chacun raconte sa version des faits d\u00e9roul\u00e9s lors de la soir\u00e9e du d\u00e9c\u00e8s d\u2019Harlan. Evidemment, chacun incarne une caricature de lui-m\u00eame; chacun n\u2019est en fait qu\u2019une marionnette dont les mouvements sont dirig\u00e9s par un marionnettiste nomm\u00e9 avidit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mais, contre toute attente, le suspense ne dure pas. Au bout d\u2019une demi-heure, on sait d\u00e9j\u00e0 tout! A quoi bon continuer? Parce qu\u2019on croit savoir <em>all<\/em>, mais ce qu\u2019on sait, en fait, c\u2019est <em>presque tout<\/em>.\u00a0Et ce, jusqu\u2019aux tout derniers instants du film. L\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat r\u00e9side plut\u00f4t dans la machinerie de mensonges qui se met en marche pour cacher d\u2019autres mensonges plus anciens. A tel point que m\u00eame lorsqu\u2019un personnage dit la <em>v\u00e9rit\u00e9 vraie<\/em>, on se dit que \u00e7a ne peut pas \u00eatre si simple que cela. Il doit y avoir autre chose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Et il y a autre chose: c\u2019est qu\u2019on est tromp\u00e9 par la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 des faits elle-m\u00eame. Grande originalit\u00e9 pour un film de d\u00e9tective. Parlons-en du d\u00e9tective en question. Beno\u00eet Blanc est insaisissable. Tout le film durant, il para\u00eet ne comprendre rien \u00e0 rien. Ce sont toutefois les fausses pistes dans lesquelles il s\u2019engage joyeusement qui le m\u00e8nent non seulement \u00e0 la v\u00e9rit\u00e9, mais encore \u00e0 la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 qui se cache derri\u00e8re cette v\u00e9rit\u00e9. Au niveau du jeu, Daniel Craig fait preuve de classe tout simplement; avec un peu plus de l\u00e9g\u00e8ret\u00e9 et d\u2019humour qu\u2019un James Bond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"A COUTEAUX TIRES  - Bande annonce VOST\" width=\"1000\" height=\"563\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/uMBW1NE0cjw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Tous les acteurs habitent d\u2019ailleurs bien leur r\u00f4le. Ils sont tous des caricatures d\u2019eux-m\u00eames, et on sent qu\u2019ils y vont \u00e0 fond. <em>A Couteaux tir\u00e9s<\/em> offre donc au public du divertissement et une belle enqu\u00eate. Mais pas plus. En effet, quand le sc\u00e9nario veut livrer un semblant de message ou de morale, il fait assez piti\u00e9. C\u2019est la faiblesse du long-m\u00e9trage qui trace ses limites. Il s\u2019agit d\u2019un polar, et rien que de cela. Dommage qu\u2019on ne puisse pas aller un peu plus loin dans des questions plus profondes au niveau de la famille, de l\u2019\u00e9criture et du jeu subtil entre la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 et le mensonge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dimension n\u00e9gative qui n\u2019emp\u00eache \u00e0 la r\u00e9alisation de Rian Johnson de soigner sa photographie en accordant une importance cons\u00e9quente aux objets, tels que des couteaux ou des marionnettes. Qui ne l\u2019emp\u00eache pas non plus de rendre un hommage correctement amen\u00e9 et plaisant au genre du polar par des biais malins et bien sentis.
