Gloria est le premier n\u00e9 du couple que forment Mathilda (Ana\u00efs Demoustier) et Nicolas (Robinson St\u00e9venin). Sourires, effusions de joie, visites. Jaillit la vie; jaillit le champagne. Toute la famille r\u00e9unie. Sylvie (Ariane Ascaride) fra\u00eechement grand-m\u00e8re; Richard (Jean-Pierre Darroussin), d\u00e9sormais <em>grandpa<\/em>; tante Aurore (Lola Naymark), paraissant fi\u00e8re de sa s\u0153ur, et son mari Bruno (Gr\u00e9goire Leprince-Ringuet).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"GLORIA MUNDI Bande Annonce (2019) Drame\" width=\"1000\" height=\"563\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/9W2WWkUE2S0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-vice-et-poesie\">Vice et po\u00e9sie<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Famille r\u00e9unie, mais d\u00e9sunie: Aurore est jalouse de sa s\u0153ur, qui n\u2019est en fait que sa demi-s\u0153ur. Et puis, il manque le grand-p\u00e8re biologique de la petite: Daniel (G\u00e9rard Meylan). Qui est en prison depuis la naissance de Mathilda, qu\u2019il n\u2019a jamais vraiment connue. Sylvie \u00e9crit donc \u00e0 son ex-compagnon en prison pour lui annoncer la nouvelle. Le destin veut que Daniel soit lib\u00e9r\u00e9 quelques jours plus tard. Il renoue bien avec Sylvie, mais plus difficilement avec Mathilda. Avec Gloria, c\u2019est le coup de c\u0153ur \u00e0 l\u2019instant m\u00eame de la rencontre. <em>Gloria Mundi<\/em> est un drame qui raconte quelques mois de la vie de cette famille quasiment recompos\u00e9e mais assur\u00e9ment divis\u00e9e, embourb\u00e9e dans les probl\u00e8mes de travail, d\u2019argent, de vice. Enrob\u00e9e de po\u00e9sie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Robert Gu\u00e9diguian a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 un chef-d\u2019\u0153uvre. Je n\u2019ai pas d\u2019autres mots pour le dire. L\u2019\u00e9motion vibre dans le c\u0153ur des spectateurs d\u00e8s la premi\u00e8re sc\u00e8ne. Magistrale! Et \u00e0 la fin, on sort de la s\u00e9ance en pleurs. Exp\u00e9rience v\u00e9cue. Le r\u00e9alisateur a rassembl\u00e9 tant de talents dans son film. La po\u00e9sie qu\u2019il porte nourrit le long-m\u00e9trage dans sa totalit\u00e9. La force du sujet social noue la gorge. La v\u00e9rit\u00e9 philosophique illumine. La beaut\u00e9 des images s\u2019agrippe au regard attendri et r\u00e9volt\u00e9. Les acteurs bouleversent dans leur jeu fin et convaincant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-interpretation-a-fleur-d-emotion\">Interpr\u00e9tation \u00e0 fleur d\u2019\u00e9motion<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019excellente Ana\u00efs Demoustier tape juste, comme d\u2019habitude. Robinson St\u00e9venin, moins connu, fait preuve d\u2019une sensibilit\u00e9 surprenante. Il en va de m\u00eame pour l\u2019interpr\u00e8te d\u2019Aurore, parfaitement haineuse, celui de Bruno, terriblement divis\u00e9. Jean-Pierre Darroussin n\u2019a de son c\u00f4t\u00e9 plus rien \u00e0 prouver: il est toujours tr\u00e8s \u00e9vocateur dans son jeu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette magnifique distribution demande tout de m\u00eame une distinction pour&nbsp;G\u00e9rard Meylan, dans son r\u00f4le de grand-p\u00e8re Daniel ancien taulard, et tout particuli\u00e8rement pour Ariane Ascardie, la jeune grand-m\u00e8re Sylvie, qui a remport\u00e9 le prix de la meilleure interpr\u00e9tation f\u00e9minine \u00e0 Venise. Lui investit en profondeur la dimension po\u00e9tique du film; elle la dimension sociale. Daniel, homme dur et bless\u00e9 par l\u2019existence, qui revit \u00e0 travers les yeux de Gloria. Sylvie, tout aussi bless\u00e9e, marche, digne, courageuse, forte, la t\u00eate haute, \u00e0 travers les difficult\u00e9s financi\u00e8res et sociales. Petite dame sur ses jambes, mais grande dame dans son c\u0153ur. Elle est impr\u00e9gn\u00e9e dans ma m\u00e9moire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le message, quant \u00e0 lui, est simple. La seule vraie <em>gloire en ce monde<\/em>, c\u2019est de donner la vie. La seule v\u00e9ritable beaut\u00e9, c\u2019est regarder au loin, un enfant dans les bras. Perp\u00e9tuer les g\u00e9n\u00e9rations pour le salut. G\u00e9n\u00e9rations qui sont par ailleurs en lutte au niveau des valeurs: enfanter, est-ce une tare, une objection au succ\u00e8s? Mais de quel succ\u00e8s parle-t-on? Le fric, toujours fric? Celui qui nous perd? Celui qu\u2019on transforme en poudre blanche pour r\u00e9ussir \u00e0 avaler la vie \u2013 ou \u00e0 la sniffer plut\u00f4t. Lyrique et \u00e9vidente, la phrase de Dosto\u00efevski se confirme dans <em>Gloria Mundi<\/em>: \u00ab&nbsp;La beaut\u00e9 sauvera le monde.\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/leregardlibre.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/d56eaf4ac7c4a1897fd0e4e620f48765-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-28969\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-avec-le-temps\">With time<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Beaut\u00e9 que l\u2019on retrouve sous les notes du brillant Michel Petrossian, qui a compos\u00e9 la bande originale du film. Explosive dans le sens qu\u2019elle transmet, elle se fait humble et discr\u00e8te dans des touches de piano. Beaut\u00e9 dans la photographie, qui transperce de ses lumi\u00e8res, mais qui ose aussi se concentrer sur la <em>street<\/em>, ses poubelles, ses tags, ses rues, ses routes, ses bus, ses gens et ses cris pour \u00e9lever l\u2019univers des pauvres dans toute son authenticit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Et puis le temps. \u00abAvec le temps va, tout s\u2019en va.\u00bb Sauf l\u2019enfance. Qui redonne \u00e0 chacun un sens \u00e0 cette soci\u00e9t\u00e9 qui r\u00e9sonne sous les cloches de l\u2019absurdit\u00e9. L\u2019enfance, qui enseigne que la seule transmission possible demeure dans le sacrifice de sa personne. Donner sa vie pour ses amis. Pour sa famille. Donner sa vie pour que l\u2019histoire ne se r\u00e9p\u00e8te pas. Donner sa vie pour la retrouver. Donner sa vie dans la tendresse et dans la peine.
