In our November issue, Loris S. Musumeci published an overview of the latest developments. <a href=\"\/en\/_wp_link_placeholder\/\" data-wplink-edit=\"true\">very positive review<\/a> from <em>Stonesickness<\/em>. Three other films, currently in theaters, are well worth a look.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3081 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/leregardlibre.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/le-ciel-attendra.jpg\" alt=\"le-ciel-attendra\" width=\"162\" height=\"162\" srcset=\"https:\/\/leregardlibre.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/le-ciel-attendra.jpg 300w, https:\/\/leregardlibre.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/le-ciel-attendra-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/leregardlibre.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/le-ciel-attendra-200x200.jpg 200w, https:\/\/leregardlibre.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/le-ciel-attendra-100x100.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 162px) 100vw, 162px\" \/>The sky will have to wait (10\/10)<\/em><\/strong> - This French drama is first and foremost a great work of art: the aesthetics are top-notch, with talented actors, a perfect script and direction by Marie-Castile Mention, and a remarkable score. Secondly, it's a topical and universal film: the theme of the Islamist radicalization of young French women (Muslim or not) is dealt with in a deeply moving way. Lastly, it's a film that avoids any over-commitment, as all that emerges from these tragedies is a feeling of total incomprehension, magnificently interpreted by Sandrine Bonnaire, Zinedine Soualem and Clotilde Courau.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><em><strong><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3084 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/leregardlibre.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/ma-vie-de-courgette.jpg\" alt=\"ma-vie-de-courgette\" width=\"162\" height=\"219\" srcset=\"https:\/\/leregardlibre.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/ma-vie-de-courgette.jpg 215w, https:\/\/leregardlibre.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/ma-vie-de-courgette-111x150.jpg 111w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 162px) 100vw, 162px\" \/>My life as a zucchini (9\/10)<\/strong><\/em> - Don't let the title fool you: Courgette is only the name, or rather the nickname, of the main character in this animated film directed by Claude Barras. It's a nickname that says a lot about the young character's unhappiness with life, having lost his father and unintentionally killed his mother. Beyond the touching story centered on a group of orphans, the staff of the special school and a policeman, the atmosphere of the cartoon, which is made \u00abthe old-fashioned way\u00bb and whose models are on show at the Mus\u00e9e Miniature et Cin\u00e9ma in Lyon until April 2, 2017, goes off the beaten track and (re)immerses us not in <em>our<\/em> childhood, but in <em>another<\/em> childhood.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3086 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/leregardlibre.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/the-girl-on-the-train.jpg\" alt=\"the-girl-on-the-train\" width=\"162\" height=\"239\" srcset=\"https:\/\/leregardlibre.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/the-girl-on-the-train.jpg 182w, https:\/\/leregardlibre.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/the-girl-on-the-train-102x150.jpg 102w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 162px) 100vw, 162px\" \/>The girl on the train (7\/10)<\/em><\/strong> - \u00abWhen you're on a train, have you ever thought about other people's lives?\u00bb It's not the best film I've seen in recent days, but this is a measured thriller, neither too scary nor too gory, which feels good in our age of very, too much, violence. In this American work by Tate Taylor, adapted from a <em>bestseller<\/em>, it's the poetry of fear that takes over. Admittedly, the film is bland, but this blandness scotches the viewer. It draws us into the plot as if we were a pebble in the meadow of the neighborhood where the action takes place.
