That is when the Cucchi family\u2019s battle against the Italian justice system began. The case was marked by a series of trials: convictions followed by acquittals. And an unimaginable variety of statements and theories, culminating in a verdict in favor of the young victim, honoring his memory. But this came at the cost of relentless battles\u2014marked by humiliation, exhaustion, and disappointment\u2014led by Ilaria Cucchi, Stefano\u2019s sister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>On my skin, <\/em>Released in 2018, the film chronicles Stefano Cucchi\u2019s suffering during his final days. In his direction, Alessio Cremonini chooses to make Stefano\u2019s emotional experience and the conditions of his incarceration the central focus of the film. The opening shots of the young man\u2019s face\u2014stunningly realistic\u2014are crucial in exposing the violence of the guards\u2019 beatings from the moment he was taken into custody. Cremonini divides the film into specific days, with the narrative unfolding day by day, like a countdown to death. In this way, he shows that just six short days were enough to take Cucchi from agony to the coffin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les causes \u00e9videntes du d\u00e9c\u00e8s font surface. Statements that Giovanardi himself would later deny\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The family is at their wits\u2019 end. There is a total lack of justice. It\u2019s a slap in the face to the memory of their late son, Stefano. Ilaria Cucchi is forced to publish photos of her brother\u2019s disfigured body to expose this scandal. The film captures the victim\u2019s condition so vividly that it sends chills down your spine. Even though the images of the actual body shown at the end of <em>On My Skin <\/em>r\u00e9v\u00e8lent que, malgr\u00e9 l\u2019excellent maquillage et le jeu de l\u2019acteur principal, le vrai Stefano \u00e9tait dans un \u00e9tat bien pire rien qu&rsquo;\u00e0 le voir. Les carabiniers Alessio Di Bernardo et Raffaele D&rsquo;Alessandro sont condamn\u00e9s \u00e0 douze ans de prison ferme pour homicide volontaire. Contrairement \u00e0 ses coll\u00e8gues, Francesco Tedesco n\u2019est condamn\u00e9 qu\u2019\u00e0 deux ans et demi de prison ferme pour fausses d\u00e9clarations et falsifications de preuves.
