Sauf que cette fois, l&#8217;histoire&nbsp;se passe \u00e0 New York, dans les ann\u00e9e 1920, soit septante ans avant les aventures du jeune sorcier. La ville am\u00e9ricaine est secou\u00e9e par une s\u00e9rie de catastrophes inexplicables. Les sorciers, tout comme le spectateur, devinent tr\u00e8s vite que ces derni\u00e8res&nbsp;ont&nbsp;une cause magique. La secte des Fid\u00e8les de Salem se bat m\u00eame pour une extermination des sorciers. Du c\u00f4t\u00e9 du congr\u00e8s&nbsp;am\u00e9ricain&nbsp;de la magie, le mot d&#8217;ordre est simple: il ne faut pas se d\u00e9voiler, afin d&#8217;\u00e9viter&nbsp;une guerre avec les non-mages. Le d\u00e9cor du premier \u00e9pisode&nbsp;\u00e9crit par J. K. Rowling est donc avant tout politique; les allusions&nbsp;historiques&nbsp;au destin des Juifs, \u00e0 la chasse aux&nbsp;sorci\u00e8res ou au totalitarisme ne sont \u00e9videmment pas absentes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Au milieu de ce climat d&#8217;entre-deux-guerres, l&#8217;acteur&nbsp;Eddie Redmayne (<em>Une merveilleuse histoire du temps<\/em>, <em>The Danish Girl<\/em>) incarne un jeune homme passionn\u00e9 d&#8217;animaux fantastiques qui a&nbsp;pour objectif d&#8217;en r\u00e9diger l&#8217;inventaire: Norbert&nbsp;Dragonneau, l&#8217;un des personnages mentionn\u00e9s dans <em>Harry Potter<\/em>.&nbsp;A New York, o\u00f9 les animaux&nbsp;magiques ne sont pas&nbsp;autoris\u00e9s, Norbert&nbsp;fait face \u00e0 deux probl\u00e8mes: retrouver les cr\u00e9atures qu&#8217;il a laiss\u00e9es s&#8217;\u00e9chapper de sa valise et convaincre le Congr\u00e8s qu&#8217;elles ne sont pas responsables des attaques effectu\u00e9es&nbsp;contre le monde des non-mages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Apr\u00e8s <em>Harry Potter<\/em>, difficile de faire aussi bien<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Un autre personnage faisant&nbsp;le lien avec <em>Harry Potter<\/em> m\u00e9rite toute notre attention: Gellert Grindelwald, un mage noir&nbsp;dont on a perdu la trace depuis&nbsp;deux ans. Ancien compagnon d&#8217;Albus Dumbledore avec qui il projetait de prendre le pouvoir sur le monde, ce personnage&nbsp;qui jouera sans doute un r\u00f4le crucial dans la nouvelle s\u00e9rie de films&nbsp;r\u00e9alis\u00e9e par David Yates n&#8217;appara\u00eet qu&#8217;\u00e0 la fin du premier opus, apr\u00e8s un retournement de situation tr\u00e8s bien&nbsp;imagin\u00e9. Incarn\u00e9 par Johnny Depp, Grindelwald n&#8217;inspire pas vraiment la m\u00eame terreur que Voldemort, mais n&#8217;en est pas moins&nbsp;tout aussi int\u00e9ressant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Cette volont\u00e9 que j&#8217;ai eu instinctivement&nbsp;de comparer <em>Les animaux fantastiques<\/em> \u00e0 <em>Harry Potter<\/em>&nbsp;montre \u00e0 quel point le d\u00e9fi est de taille pour J. K. Rowling: faire, si ce n&#8217;est mieux, du moins aussi bien qu&#8217;avec son succ\u00e8s plan\u00e9taire.
