Il est donc l\u00e9gitime de s\u2019interroger sur les crit\u00e8res de s\u00e9lection des projets et l\u2019impact r\u00e9el de ceux qui sont retenus.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abJe&nbsp;ne gagnerai jamais le prix du public, parce que le public d\u00e9teste mes films. Ce qui n\u2019est pas \u00e9tonnant vu que je ne fais pas du cin\u00e9ma pour lui.\u00bb Avec son accent suisse al\u00e9manique \u00e0 couper au couteau, son allure de clochard snob et ses yeux qui louchent, Tommy K\u00fcng fait r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement pleurer de rire la r\u00e9daction de \u00ab52 minutes\u00bb, l\u2019\u00e9mission humoristique des deux Vincent sur le service public. Ce personnage de Vincent Kucholl est un condens\u00e9 de clich\u00e9s d\u2019un r\u00e9alisateur de cin\u00e9ma d\u2019auteur: p\u00e9dant, vautr\u00e9 dans l\u2019entre-soi d\u2019une \u00e9lite culturelle qui se f\u00e9licite de ne pas faire de \u00abdivertissement\u00bb, mais de \u00abl\u2019art\u00bb. De l\u2019art nombriliste confinant \u00e0 l\u2019onanisme intellectuel, comme le dirait sans doute Tommy K\u00fcng. En fran\u00e7ais vulgaire, on appelle cela de la branlette intellectuelle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La caricature est impitoyable, mais est-elle pour autant fausse? Le Prix de Soleure 2026 a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9cern\u00e9 \u00e0 Nicolas Wadimoff pour un documentaire d\u2019une sobri\u00e9t\u00e9 minimaliste\u2009: des rescap\u00e9s de Gaza s\u2019expriment sur l\u2019enfer auquel ils ont surv\u00e9cu, la perte de tant de leurs proches, sur un fond noir, tout en dessinant une carte de la bande de Gaza \u00e0 la peinture blanche. A propos de son choix de ne montrer aucune image de la guerre, le r\u00e9alisateur explique: \u00abIl y a malgr\u00e9 tout quelque chose au-del\u00e0 des mots, qui est propre au cin\u00e9ma: l\u2019exp\u00e9rience de la transmission par une personne qui nous parle, qui fait entendre sa voix et son silence. Pourtant, au-del\u00e0 de l\u2019engouement pour les festivals de cin\u00e9ma, d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9voqu\u00e9 dans une pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente chronique, force est de constater que la pertinence des films suisses s\u2019arr\u00eate l\u00e0: leur part de march\u00e9 des salles obscures nationales n\u2019est que de 9%, un score parmi les plus bas d\u2019Europe\u2009: les films germaniques concentrent 20% des parts de march\u00e9 en Allemagne, les&nbsp;fran\u00e7ais&nbsp;44,4%. La Suisse est aussi largement d\u00e9pass\u00e9e par le Danemark, o\u00f9 les films du cru sont responsables de 40% des tickets vendus en 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le montant des subventions \u00e9tatiques en Suisse est pourtant \u00e0 peu pr\u00e8s \u00e9quivalent \u00e0 celui qui est accord\u00e9 au Danemark, autour de 30 millions d\u2019euros en parit\u00e9 de pouvoir d\u2019achat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-le-cinema-danois-vise-aussi-le-grand-public\"><strong>Le cin\u00e9ma danois vise aussi le grand public<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Il y a certes des diff\u00e9rences structurelles qui expliquent partiellement ce r\u00e9sultat: la Suisse est morcel\u00e9e en aires linguistiques distinctes et donc autant de march\u00e9s, o\u00f9 les productions helv\u00e9tiques se heurtent \u00e0 la concurrence fran\u00e7aise, allemande et italienne, tandis que le Danemark est bien moins soumis \u00e0 la concurrence scandinave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cependant, on peut aussi lire dans ces chiffres une diff\u00e9rence de strat\u00e9gie: le Danemark priorise largement la promotion du septi\u00e8me art au sein de sa propre population, tandis que l\u2019objectif de diffusion du cin\u00e9ma \u00e0 l\u2019international p\u00e8se lourdement dans les crit\u00e8res de s\u00e9lection en Suisse. A l\u2019international, comprenez: dans les festivals o\u00f9 fraient les Tommy K\u00fcng de ce monde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le Danemark a un programme de financement sp\u00e9cifique \u00e0 des films grand public, \u00abqui captivent parce qu\u2019ils racontent une histoire populaire ou s\u2019inscrivent dans un genre familier\u00bb. A l\u2019inverse, dans les crit\u00e8res d\u2019\u00e9valuation de l\u2019Office f\u00e9d\u00e9ral de la culture, la \u00abcapacit\u00e9 \u00e0 atteindre le public suisse et international\u00bb ne compte que pour 20% de la note finale d\u2019un projet cin\u00e9matographique.
