Digitization has had a major impact on the journalistic sector. Between changing practices and economic challenges, the last ten years have seen the media shrink in the face of new competitors.
Interviewed in 2015 by consulting and communications agency Oxygen RP, Philippe Rincé, Director of the Alliance pour les chiffres de presse et des médias (ACPM), a French trade association, noted «a long process of transformation of the media landscape»: «We no longer approach media brands by silo (press, radio, television...) but globally, as a whole».
