Like its protagonist, before seeing it, one could almost doubt its existence. The text on which the film is based is by the poetic writer Alessandro Baricco, author of Silk, among other masterpieces. The director is Giuseppe Tornatore, who scored a hit with the excellent Cinema Paradiso. And the soundtrack is by the great Ennio Morricone, who needs no introduction.
