Two years after her previous opus, the French author is back in bookshops with Rendez-vous à la Porte dorée, following in the footsteps of a love gone sour. With the obsession to find her novelistic truth.

Agathe Ruga made her literary debut in 2019 with Sous le soleil de mes cheveux blonds, a highly constructed and narrated first novel. In 2022, she published L'homme que je ne devais pas aimer, tightening the narrative to an intimate angle. She continues in this autofiction vein with her third opus, Rendez-vous à la Porte dorée.

The A trilogy: Agathe, Anne, amour

It wasn't until Anne left her husband three years earlier - in order to live a passion she thought was free and light with a much younger man - that she realized she'd just lost her true love. From now on, she'll use any means necessary to win him back.
