Le Regard Libre special issue «French language» - Léa Farine

«Mieulx est de ris que de larme escripre, pour ce que rire est le propre de l'homme», writes Rabelais in Gargantua. The mastery of language and a certain creativity when it comes to sexuality are also proper to man. So it seems only logical to consider that the saucy genre is nothing less than one of the most formidable expressions of human distinction. No offense to those who drape themselves in stiff dignity. It would be more beneficial to their elevation to shake off the moths of this false garb, because to rediscover the taste (and purity) of white, nothing beats a fine appellation (polite, of course). One can, under cover of decency, deny the joys of the game, but it seems to me that no man (or woman) is ever strong enough for this calculation. After all, there's nothing vulgar about aestheticizing themes that seem vile.
