Julien Granel at Paléo: good humor and joy
Singer and musician Julien Granel opened the last day of the Paléo with jubilation and playfulness. An explosion of vigor from the young man, ideal for finding the strength to enjoy the end of the festival.
The Club Tent lives up to its name on this Sunday afternoon, July 24, at Paléo: it combines the warmth of a camping tent with a club atmosphere! Julien Granel blows the audience away with his sparkling energy and colorful musical bombs. The audience is so lively, it's hard to believe that this concert is taking place on a Sunday afternoon; it's as if it's the middle of a night of partying - even though it's only just begun. The crowd even enjoys a crowd surfing on the track Towards the sun. An explosion of joy.

On stage, Julien Granel single-handedly whips the crowd into a frenzy. His half-blue hair and beachwear add a singular touch to the character. He manages to raise the mood with disconcerting ease: behind his full moustache lies a generous smile towards his audience.

The man manages all the machinery while euphorically reciting his very own lyrics. They're simple, so the audience can quickly recite them and get into the swing of things. The musician and singer conveys so much warmth, both literally and literally, as well as kindness, that it's easy to fall in love with this man who has come out of nowhere. It's because he easily transmits his vibeHis personal style and his music are a perfect match.
The perfect beginning of the end
If, at 4.00 pm, the Club Tent's lawn, dotted with a few people, was almost impossible to see, it was no longer visible an hour later: the brave Sunday afternoon festival-goers had arrived by the dozens to take part in this foretaste of the end of Paléo. And it's not the sweltering heat that's keeping the crowd from jumping to the rhythm of electro sounds mixed with touches of another era. The early hour and the sunshine give this concert an unbelievable touch. But as Julien Granel wishes, the stage is completely «turned upside down» by the crowd. Bursts of French pop sparkle against the tent walls and festival-goers' jumps smash the floor.
If fatigue is slowly making itself felt on this last dusty day, this concert is an opportunity to boost motivation. The cohesion created by Julien Granel spreads so much good humor that it's hard not to get carried away. The simplicity of the lyrics and the catchy rhythm of the songs bring out the last of the energy and enthusiasm needed to make it through the last night of the festival, with a danceable atmosphere on the program.
