This trend is accelerating with Trump, whose «America First» slogan sounds of the USA turning in on itself. However, it is curiously at the end of Trump's term that a new global power, still in American hands, is showing its might. GAFAM, the acronym for the major companies Google, Apple, Facebook, Amazon and Microsoft, are censoring certain content for political reasons, revealing to the scandalized world that they are more than just service providers. This historic situation is an opportune moment to reflect on the conditions required to guarantee freedom of expression on the Net.
