News Mondays - Alexandre Wälti
The absolutely essential news of the last two weeks was the fortieth edition of the Dakar, ex-Paris-Dakar. This one ended on Sunday, January 21, 2018. A motor race whose route, as its name indicates with frightening precision, obviously runs from Lima in Peru to Córdoba in Argentina, via Bolivia, logically enough. But yes, you know, Dakar, that city on a continent far from Europe, over there. Here or there, after all. As long as we can emit CO2 massively into extremely wild natural areas, such as the normally protected Uyuni salt desert, and crush the fragile soils of the Altiplano with big, greasy wheels, everything's fine.
