We began our dive into French-speaking literature with an interview with Xochitl Borel. We now present four must-read authors from French-speaking Switzerland and those who will undoubtedly make tomorrow's literary news. Please accept this article as a recommendation for further reading, or as an invitation to awaken your own curiosity.
The creation of the Ajar collective in 2012, the reissue of Histoire de la littérature en Suisse romande in 2015 and the publication of the first issue of La Cinquième Saison in 2017 demonstrate a renewed interest in French-language literature. The aforementioned literary magazine undoubtedly follows in the footsteps of Ecriture, Cahiers vaudois, Gazette littéraire, the Guilde du livre adventure and other precious relics of a history of French-speaking letters.
