The adventure began over six years ago. We were young - we still are! We were crazy - and still are! We were beautiful - we are different; «taste and color», as the rednecks would say. So a classmate decides to start a magazine. So far, nothing special. The classmate in question, you know him well: a certain Jonas Follonier, or Jo’ Follo’ or Mr. Editor-in-Chief for pros.

And that's where the first quirk of the story comes in: Jonas offers to write an article for the first issue of his baby, Le Regard Libre. I was surprised. Apart from the fact that I couldn't write (my essays weren't very good), Jonas and I didn't agree on much of anything. And yet... ready to argue about anything, in the words of Zemmour and Naulleau.

Not quite sure of myself, I took the plunge anyway. And not a little proud that it's the brightest kid in class who asks me to join his newspaper. We'll see what happens. I write a first article, then a second, a third and so on. And I start to get a kick out of it. And I start to learn how to write. And I get to know Jonas better. From being buddies, albeit fierce adversaries in certain debates, we've become friends. Our friendship has continued to grow, while Le Regard Libre became fuller and more elegant.

«I've become so rich that I've become very rich».»

Today, Jonas and I are friends at heart. Le Regard Libre has become a quality magazine, and a quality one at that. premium, if you know what I mean. I find this magazine quite simply magnificent, both aesthetically, with a design which is becoming more and more refined with each edition, as well as on the editorial level, with articles that are profound, original, sometimes cerebral, often funny. And that's not to mention the great team of volunteers - a little crazy, a lot offbeat - who make up the very essence of the magazine, who shape its identity.

Today I'm leaving, for new horizons, to renew the team, to devote myself to new projects - which I'm telling you about for do well, Without admitting that it's mainly a question of freeing up time to devote more to my disastrous studies. I entered the Regard Libre at loser, without status, without a stable situation, without a roof over my head. loser, always without status, always without a stable situation, always penniless. And yet, I've grown so rich, I've become extremely rich. I acquired this wealth thanks to my boss, thanks to my team, thanks to my efforts, thanks to the Regard Libre, which, since 2014, has offered me a feather and an ideal opportunity to hone it.

I'm leaving the editorial team fulfilled: I've learned to write, to read, I've discovered an almost sexual passion for cinema, I've developed my sense of analysis... and I've also learned to debate without moderation - the editorial sessions being very lively, very inspired, very inspiring, second to none. I also learned what courage, audacity and inventiveness it takes to make a title known. What a wild adventure Le Regard Libre!

It's not without emotion, nor without a nostalgia that's already settling over me, that I say goodbye to the editorial team, that I say goodbye to you, dear readers. And since a nerd remains a nerd, even when he's moved to tears, I salute you with the words of a song from that old-fashioned Demis Roussos: «Goodbye, my love, goodbye. Goodbye and “au revoir”.»
