My sister and I were getting nostalgic
For almost twenty years, the Fellini Foundation for Cinema has been working to promote the seventh art within the cultural sphere. With a rich heritage of works by Italian director Federico Fellini and cinema in general, the Foundation organizes exhibitions around the world with prestigious partners. Last December, it published a book retracing the filmmaker's career. Here we meet the Foundation's President, Stéphane Marti, who explains the origins of the Foundation, its activities, its mission and the new book Fellini et la Fondation Fellini.
Stéphane Marti teaches French and Latin literature, cinema and photography at the Atelier du Regard he founded at the Lycée-Collège des Creusets in Sion, Valais. A lover of the seventh art, he chairs the Fellini Foundation. His many commitments to art and culture have earned him numerous honors, including the silver medal of the Académie des Arts-Sciences-Lettres and the title of Cavaliere OSI of the Italian Republic. A simple, dedicated and passionate man, he generously answers our questions on the links between literature and cinema.
