If we wanted to simplify things, we'd generalize that there are forests on the East Coast and solitary trees in the West. But there are forests in the West too, and it's the lonely trees we've chosen. Like Lucky Luke, do they wait for the sun to set before singing «I'm a poor lonesome tree»?
