Traditionally consensual, Swiss politics is marked by a constant retreat. This is undoubtedly to better conceal the decisive international role it plays, if only as a financial center and tax haven. Nevertheless, the press was unanimous in recognizing that 2019 marked a turning point in this respect: with regard to the future of humanity as a whole, the «climate strikes» were marked by demonstrations of unprecedented frequency, scale and youthfulness.
