A generation ago, the term charisma had a strong religious connotation. It was a divine gift enjoyed by a person who had a duty to use it for the good of his or her community. Today, charisma has become more simply the ability to convince crowds through the charm of one's personality. Individual talent certainly contributes to this, but even more so do the swarms of communication specialists who forge the image of political leaders. Does Trump have charisma?
