Anouck Saugy, president of the Femmes PLR du canton de Vaud, refused to attend the feminist strike last June. Once united around a common cause, this movement has become, in her view, a divisive force.

A symbol of the feminist movement, June 14 has been a strike day for many women in Switzerland since 2019. Anouck Saugy, a tax expert and local councillor in Lausanne, has denounced what she sees as the excesses of this demonstration. Her text has gone viral. In this interview for Le Regard Libre, the liberal-radical responds to the criticism she has received from certain readers, and shares her vision of feminism, which focuses on unity and concrete action rather than the fight against patriarchy. She also believes that in Switzerland, «women now have their rightful place in politics».
