Le Regard Libre N° 64 - Loris S. Musumeci
Quentin Tarantino special report
Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood caused a sensation when it was released last year. Tarantino's latest film, and penultimate on his ten-film schedule. There was no shortage of controversy, as the director is wont to do: he took too much liberty with the story, because in the film, actress Sharon Tate is not murdered by the Manson cult, but rather massacred, in a scene of violence that is very Tarantino-esque and therefore enjoyable. A polemic because the film is a fable, a dream that imagines a story «where things would have happened differently». This dream is an absolute masterpiece, a favorite of mine, with which I've had a love affair for almost a year now, and which continues to captivate me.
