An imperceptible earthquake
On Saturday, September 10, shortly before 6.00 p.m., an earthquake - apparently - tickled Switzerland. Apparently, because the relatively low amplitude of the quake - 4.3 on the Richter scale - was still strong enough to be felt by some people. But not by our editorial team...
Richter shakes BaselShortly before 6pm on Saturday September 10, I was in Basel, locked in the Kunstmuseum to see the exhibition on Picasso and El Greco. It was precisely in this region that the earthquake had its epicenter, I later learned. Yet I felt nothing of the earthquake. And for good reason: the exhibition was so superficial and inconsistent that nothing could hold any sway over us. A very brief and hollow presentation, a scholastic or even absent scenography, a rather short visit: this meeting in Basel between Picasso and El Greco turned out to be a disappointment.
