Some time later, Aimé remembered the Tribschen house he had seen on his way up to Pilate. One Saturday afternoon, he cycled along the lake to the Quai des Alpes, where the public baths and beach are located, and then to the sports fields. Around a bend in a small forest, the imposing building emerged from the trees. The entrance stoop was reached after crossing a gravel courtyard lined with hydrangea. As in all museums, there was a janitor. It was an elderly lady who stood in a sort of glassed-in dressing room to the left of the main entrance. She issued Aimé with a small yellow ticket, in return for a fee.
