Here is the new novel by Swiss author André Durussel, first published in *Le Regard Libre*. It is scheduled to be published by Editions de l’Aire, a press founded and directed until recently by our late friend Michel Moret, whose memory we honor with deep emotion.
After completing an apprenticeship at a technical school in French-speaking Switzerland, the protagonist of this novel comes to realize that there were still many other things for him to see and learn, even in his own country, whose history and geography he ultimately knew only from textbooks and from what others had chosen to teach or explain to him. A country where more than three-fifths of the population speaks another language: German—and this was before English and computer jargon soon took over the entire world.
